Actually, arena's have been mentioned. There isn't one. Hopefully there is some kind of fight club at least.

<s>@</s>DelanoReidar No, read the questions he asked. And no, there is no Arena.

      Damn.

I think they only put an Arena in Oblivion because the first Elder Scrolls game was supposed to be just about fighting in the arena at Imperial City, so they probably put it in for authenticity and all that, because the effort into it didn't seem very much to me. Only one side quest attached and all that. But it's a good way to make money and raise skills and I will miss it

Not to mention, who didn't want to be a gladiator!!!????

So cool if they had something with more effort, but it may not fit in well with how the story will be.

As in the land may be so "war torn" the last thing people are worried about is arena battles.

          Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I've made a BOATLOAD of money at the Arena.
Both betting on fights and of course the moola from winning my fights.
They have me fighting creatures now(only once a week allowed though)

I was going as a fighting Dark Elf....first bow and then with some great swords I have gotten....but using spells is just phenomenal.(I've always gone with a more "regular" fighting character).
I'm definitely doing a magic wielding Dark Elf in Skyrim.

Yeah I'm also going as a Dark Elf.... usually I start one as a typical fighter/knight dude but I want to go a different route this time.

I think I might venture out my normal routine and go some type of mage first play through.

Yeah the game'll probably be so much triller going Mage only. I always wanted to do that in Oblivion but it's almost impossible.

Going all out Mage is even more impossible in Morrowind. The system didn't work well, although it was an improvement over the one in Daggerfall. They went on a better track in Oblivion, and it looks like they may finally have perfected the system

All Mage in Morrowind was a cinch. That's what I did - flew everywhere, used invisibility and snuck past everything, unlocked everything with a single spell, etc.

Mages were amazingly powerful in Morrowind and extremely easy.

I've pretty much done everything I want to do In oblivion. With the little variety in dungeons I've done pretty much everything I like doing. I'm officially ready for skyrim. Bring it on Bethesda

Saw it linked on Kotaku, but the Skyrim map has been "leaked". Hope you've packed your hiking boots.

Great. This map makes me want to swim from the start of each waterway to the sea. Just to do it.

It makes me want to venture out and see exactly what is at each little "X" on the map.

I count 15-18 depending on if that's one in the middle of Lake Klinalth on the southern portion of the map (hard to tell) and a few in the Oruadac Mountains in the east that my eyes my be playing tricks on me.

Add in the fact that there will be tons of dungeons, 15-16 Daedra Shrines, and other little inns and villages...

                              Goodbye sunlight.

Been playing Dark Souls since Saturday night and somewhat enjoying it although it's very frustrating after you defeat a boss that kills you repeatedly. Only to die before you get to a bonfire..

Anyway, I've never gotten into Elder Scrolls series before either. Just wondering if there is a save system that is a little more forgiving? Also, do the rogue/thief'ish characters in this game actually use shadows, sneak and steal? Went with a thief in Dark Souls but just doesn't like I'm a thief at all. Just wanting some input from you guys who've spent many hours with previous Elder Scrolls.
