    Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I'm rolling with a Nord that has an axe in one hand and will do a little destruction magic. I restarted like 3 times before I decided this is what I was going to do.

Can't wait to get into crafting. Hoping I can find myself a nice home in the country that has a forge.

Installed. Now at the Character Creation screen. 1/2 hour so far. Running great on Ultra.

I'm thinking about going with a Red Guard.

PC Players, what are your specs running the game on? Does it take a beast to run at Ultra? Wondering if the laptop will do the trick for business.

I'm gonna try installing to a flash drive on the 360 to see if it makes a difference. I also just came back from Best Buy with a PS3 copy. Gonna wait and see if there is any official word from Bethesda on the texture issue.

Man this thing on high ultra graphics is a sight. It's not the best in the biz but the variety of foliage etc. is top notch and immersive.

And the dynamic conversations is a game changer in a breakthrough type of way.

Built for this game over the summer. It recommended High, but I moved it to Ultra.

Right now, no stuttering whatsoever. I am really not used to this for a Bethesda Game.

It's not as much of a resource hog as I expected. I'm running a dual core 3.0ghz, 4gb ram and Ati 4870 and it defaulted to high. Getting 30-40 FPS outside and 40+ inside.

I'm running on high, and roughly clocking 60 FPS pretty consistently.

Seriously? That's better than the gaming desktop in the sig, and it recommended high? What on earth?

And it defaulted to High, when Chizzy's was also defaulted to high? Hmmmmm... Now I'm curious to see what I can get away with on it. Thinking about picking it up if I can find the PC version within distance. Thanks to some bartering on CL, haha.
