Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
This has really clicked for me this time around, was afraid I wouldn't get into it like Oblivion but I just spent 6 hours playing non-stop. Without details, I wandered across a camp that had bad guys, they forced me to wear my *** as a hat, few hours later I went back and slaughtered the group.
Oh and I love the random things you can find off people like notes, etc. which completely sidetrack you to go over to some other spot for a separate reason
Question for those past the beginning
SpoilerThe house in Riverwood that they give you access to, items can be stored there safely right? I just dont want to put the dragon loot in there and come back with it vanishedLast edited by av7; 11-17-2011, 05:38 AM.Aaron

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
After tons of mining, smithing, and hunting down Daedra Hearts from merchants, finally crafted my Daedric Armor / War Axe combo. So damn proud. Don't remember the last time I put this much effort into something for a video game, haha. Improved it to legendary, and even used a blacksmith drought I had for a little 20% increase on the improvement.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Quests in the game appear to be really well done.
Spoiler
I killed my first dragon and while I am walking back to Whiterun there is a loud shouting and the ground is kind of shaking and I am looking all over the place to find out what is about to kick my butt. Once I turn in the quest I finally figure out what it was, but I thought it was pretty cool. Digging the Companion quest line so far too. See myself digging into to all of their quests to see if I can get into the Circle.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
SpoilerAs far as I know, you're not given access to any house in Riverwood. The Blacksmith's family is very kind to you and makes you feel at home there but it's not your house. The door is locked at night and you don't have a key.
Now if you're talking about a house that you've bought somewhere else, then yes, it's a safe storage place.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The amount of content and detail an just stuff in this game is damn near overwhelming....in a good way.
It still feels like I haven't even scratched the surface of things in this game even after playing for hours.
This game has pretty much consumed me...it's all I want to play and when I'm not playing all I can think about is playing lol.
The sense and feel of discovery is incredibly well done in Skyrim, it really feels gratifying.
I haven't had this much fun and been this "into" a game in years...maybe ever.Last edited by MizzouBravesFan; 11-17-2011, 02:47 PM.Patrick Mahomes > GodComment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I think what's most impressive is the change to individually crafted dungeons/caves/locations. The sense of exploration is so much better in this game because nothing has a cookie-cutter development feel.
In Oblivion I'd pass by ruins because I knew what the basic layout would be before I went in a door. In Skyrim, I have to check out everything on my compass, because I never know what I'm going to find.Comment
