That was me too until a poor decision on my part led to me waking up one morning in a different city. I went with it and now I'm exploring a new area.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
My biggest issue is I just love wondering around and collecting ingredients, mining etc... Eventually I need to start doing more quests lolJoshua:

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Funny story....Dark Brotherhood spoilers
SpoilerSo I have been putting my money to use rather then investing in a house. Everything I owned was in a bucket in The Dark Brotherhood hideout.......Well at a certain point in the story-line there is a mad dash to stop the hideout from being burned to the ground...I instantly realize OMG MY #%@%*!@ BUCKET!!!!!
So I finally I fight my way into the building, flames everywhere......Luckily the BUCKET is still there. I grab everything I fit Dragon Armors/Magical Weapons/Rare Ores....
Then I carry on with the quest...not 1 minute later...Cutscene!? The bucket and everything else in the place destroyed forever...I lost about 20/20 dragon bones and scales, all my books, and random stuff...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
SpoilerThough I was expecting what you did to be a little more fun, a bit more The Hangover
Also, at the end of the questSpoilerThe portal extends below the floor, blocking a chest and a strongbox. If you are like me, it will drive you nuts knowing there might be good stuff in there. If you creep over to the right on top of the barrels you can get to the strongbox and can inch towards the chest and just barely snag the chest. The contents of both were underwhelming though.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
With that said I agree seeing and finding areas "first hand" is fun. This is why I said it would be a "spoiler" of sorts if using the zoom in areas you haven't been too. If you just use the MAP without zoom it's the same as in the game right now. Once you have been to the areas, its a nice resource/google street to have.Last edited by Skyboxer; 11-17-2011, 01:41 AM.Joshua:

I do have one gripe about the menu system. I have too much stuff. I have a house and I store a bunch of misc, food, and ingredients in chests. There should be a way to organize the stuff in the chest the same we organize stuff in our inventory. I have to scroll down a list as long as Yao just to find certain ore for smithing. I wonder if they can patch in an inventory system for items stored in houses?PSN: PhiNuPi

I know what you mean. What I do though is put different items in different places. All my alchemy ingredients are in a container in the alchemy lab. Things I want to enchant later are iin the enchantment lab, food stuff is in the kitchen close to the pot, etc. etc. It would be easier to be able to set up categories within a storage container, but this works out great for me.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I decided to spam the smithing skill since it a lot people are having good results. Anyway, it took me about an hour or so to get my skill from 20ish to 80. All I did was create a ton of Iron daggers since it's the easiest to make, and gives you the same exp. I decided to stop there, because I didn't want to go overboard, and Because the Ebony armor looks so bad***.
Overall my armor rating went from about 250 to 412. Not to mention my attack almost doubled from the weapons. Can't wait for Daedric stuff to show up, that will be ridiculous.
Also, I remember seeing something about a smithing potion? I looked all over for one, and couldn't find anything like it.-Ohio State-

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Anyone have a save where you're just way luckier with drops and such from the very beginning? I have a bunch of different toons going, but I've been getting so lucky in my newest save with good armors/weapons that I think this is the save I'll be rolling with. I wandered into a couple of early caves (pre Riverwood even) and came out with some amazing stuff.Comment
