    Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I had one of my favorite followers die yesterday. I noticed that she wasn't following me after a tough fight but I thought she was stuck on some environment. As I was looting the bodies I noticed one of them was her. I was pretty sad. I didn't think she could ever die because she was always just stunned, especially when trying to navigate traps.

Now I need to find another follower. I like the fact that they light torches at night and carry all my loot.

So far the Smithing line is the most useful.

For combat I like the Decap perks for the sword. It's fun to use when Stealth is not an option.

Ahhhhh it's been almost 6 years since I got to satisfy my serial killer urges.

Nothing like coming across some random hunter at a camp...and then kill her and take all her wares.

Some vendor that has stuff I want that I don't want to pay for? And it's in a building where nobody can see? Oh...he's so dead.

I've made something like 8,000 gold doing nothing but slaughtering innocents. And I still haven't seen the Dark Brotherhood yet.

I just got the Amulet of Mara, so hopefully it lets me start coercing female NPCs out into the wilderness where I can satisfy more bloodlust.

            Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I have never crouched yet lol. My big bad *** beast two hand battle axe tank wrapped in heavy steel sky forge armor does not SNEAK!!!! He runs up and cuts people in two, lops heads off for fun, and dares anyone to stand toe to toe with him!!!

My sneak skill is still at default 15 or whatever it is lol. Last night I was playing and heard the high pitch screech of a dragon. So I start scanning the sky then I see it coming out the snowy clouds wrapped around a mountain. Just then I get shot with something so I spin around to see what it was. Two frost mages are shooting ice at me and keeping their distance. So I take off running for them to close the gap, well just then I hear the howl of wolves. As I am chasing the mages down I see 4 wolves coming for me. Right as I am striking the first mage BOOOOOOOOOOM this dragon lands right on top us, dust everywhere and I am straight underneath it. So I start slashing its belly. It launches in the air after several strikes, but at this point I am surrounded by the wolves so I just start slashing in all directions taking out a wolf here and there with blind strikes. With the wolves now taken care of I spot the mages and let loose with my fire shout which knocks both mages back with a blast of fire. I then charge and plant my axe in the skull of the first mage then go on to have a brutal decap animation on the second mage.

The dragon has now landed behind me several hundred feet away and is launching fire balls. So I drink a potion of resist fire and take off running straight at the dragon. Then with a quick switch to Whirl wind sprint I launch into the dragon with heavy strikes and drop the beast at my feet after a short but frantic battle.

I have taken the souls of 4 dragons now!!

This was my most hectic battle yet with a dragon. Just because I was so overwhelmed and my fighter is strictly a hand to hand fighter. ZERO range attack.

No kidding! Which makes no sense, since I almost always play a good guy in games. Just the Elder Scrolls sets off that mode for some bizarre reason.

For example, I didn't know you could kill followers. I discovered I could kill my housecarl while we were in a fight, so naturally I did that and then propped her up on a throne in some random ruin we were in.

After I figured that out, I've been recruiting followers at any tavern I can find, just so I can get them in the wilderness, kill them, and take their gear to sell.

I've killed more followers than dragons so far.

I also entirely cleared out the first town after getting all I could out of them. I didn't know you could outright kill the smith and his wife and he'd never be there again. In Oblivion there were certain people you couldn't kill, so it's pretty cool to go through a ghost town and see my handiwork.

Dude that's terrible. I had brutal dragonfight near one of the towns, and the stage coach driver joined in the fun. That's the only way I'll fast travel, it via stage coach, needless to say, I went to travel a few days later, and there was the stage coach ,unmanned.... searched around the dragon site, and dude was face down in a puddle.

I looted his body and was on my way

                  Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

That's awesome. I'm hoping the stagecoach guys respawn...they mentioned in Radiant Story how they could just plug new guys into roles. I'm hoping that some new smith moves into Riverwood, and that the carriage guy in Windhelm respawns.

I went on a slight werewolf tear through there, so every NPC at the stables or near the gates no longer exists.

The closest I can think of is the Bosmer racial trait is charm animal for 60 seconds. There might be a way to make a high powered spell do the same. You'd have to recast it every 5 minutes or something though and there would probably be limitations, like it wouldn't fast travel with you or something.

You can have two pre-sets, D-pad left & right. While in your favorites menu, highlight the bow and hold left till a "1." appears. Equip the S&B and hold right till a "2." appears.

I had to have my health/stamina potions hotkeyed, so it led me to find something else out. If you have your sword/board combo, and then pull up your favorites menu and pull LT to equip your bow in your left hand (probably works with either hand, but I haven't tried it with RT), it will equip it and you can start shooting. When they get close enough, pull up the favorites again and pull LT on the bow again--it swaps back to your previous loadout without having to individually equip the sword/shield again.

It's an extra click as opposed to just left/right on the D-Pad, but that way I keep potions on the quick slots and quickly swap between weapon sets with a single trigger pull.

TCrouch, your serial killer obsession in this game is hilarious. I'm reading this in class and LOL'd.

Phobia, that sounds real bad *** and you've given me an idea for a character.

While I'm enjoying what I'm reading, I still don't know half the things you guys are talking about. Would I be fine just reading about this on wiki or somewhere else on the Internet, or should I get the strategy guide?

Finished a few quests, acquired a new traveling companion, furnished my Whiterun house, discovered quite a few new shouts out in the world, slew 3 or 4 dragons, and cleared out a few caves including my first run ins with the Fulmer.

For me Dragon slaying never gets old. I LOVE it. Hunted one down today and discovered a new word. I was psyched to find it while fighting the beast and then use the word against it....and I think the word is for a shout called KILL or something like that.
