Once those perks are obtained a heavy armored mage could be a kick *** tank mage. It'd just take them longer to get the perk.
Mana regen as well. I can't wait to be a Mage and having so much mana regen that I could basically walk around holding the triggers and never see the little blue bar run out. Lol.

I'm also probably goin to be staffless.
I remembered something about combining spells but I can't seem to figure it out. Must be a perk or something.

*raises hand* I can't wait to be a archer and Mage play throughs.

Also is there any perks or anything that allow you to have animal companions like wolves and bears. Etc. I was going to try to make a hunter/ranger type character that used a bow, poison, maybe some illusion or mysticism and had animal companion(s).

    Sent from me, duh.

          Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Mages (pure mage that is) should always go robes. They have the perk that makes the skin line of spells (oakflesh, etc.) 3x more powerful if you aren't wearing armor.

That being said, I am on my 4th or 5th save, each playing the game a different way. And aside from the first dragon kill (main quest) I haven't really repeated many quests. I've done companions, mages, thieves guilds.

This playthrough I am a Nord who uses spells in the left hand, a war axe in the right, and lots of heavy armor. At level 12 right now, and still having a blast in the world. I am exploring more than I ever have on any other character with this guy.

Hi guys, I'm on PS3 with a question:

I figured out how to set equipment/spells to favorites but is there a way to hotkey it so I can flip from bow to sword and board in a flash?

What are everyone's favorite perks so far? To me the block (shield bash) and Archer perks seem the most useful. Anything else worth checking out?

The Dragon shout Elemental Fury + Dual Wielding = Dead Everything.

I've been taking out guys that would normally take a few minutes in a few seconds now.

How many words do you have for that shout? I only have one and it didn't seem to do much. But I only tried it with one, one handed weapon.

Just started a new character. Plan on making him a Dual Wielding, conjuration specialist who wears heavy armor.

Only one, but man, my dual wielding power attack that would noramlly take around 2.5 seconds is done in less than half a second. Combine that with the flurry you can unleash, while often staggering the opponent and you can do a ton of damage in an incredibly short time frame.

I did notice that some weapons don't work with it though, I had a Daedric mace I got from a quest that was BA in damage, but didn't get the speed bonus, for whatever reason. So I swapped it for another weapon.

Wow, Important. I was just reading about while typing this, and apparently some people are having a glitch after using it though. It slows their offhand attack to a crawl permanently. Looks like their are other various bugs as well. Damn, I'm going have to be careful using it now, and would advise others to use caution as well.

The two hand combat perks I like. Decap perk is cool, seen some new animations and the sprint + power attack is beastly with 3x critical strike. Add that to my 60% two hand weapon bonus, 40% heavy armor bonus, and all heavy armor bonus and you have one kick *** tank!

While in class last night I was listening to other students talk about Skyrim. So apparently there is a glitch in the game where you can get a house for free as long as you have enough coins to get it. It was ear hustling so I couldnt make out everything but you have to do something like talk to the guy to buy the house, when you tell him you want to buy the house, when he responds you have to hurry and hit circle (B on 360) to exit but the whole time you must be looking at a chest or something like that. It was more to it and I dont think thats exactly how he said it. I just know it is a glitch the involves putting the money in the chest, and talking to the dude and exiting the conversation after telling him you want to buy the house.

Also what are dragon scales and dragon bones used for. I have a couple of each and havent found a use for it but i dont want to sell them because I have a feeling they can be useful.

Making armor later once you ramp up your smithing skills. I hate how heavy they are so I think I am going to buy a house so I can store all my heavy items I don't want to lug around 80% of the game just to use them in the last 20%
