Thick is an understatement. 653 pages to be exact

I originally purchased the regular edition but gave that to my son and told the wife this is what I am getting myself for X-mas. Came with a downloadable online map and the book itself is a "Masterpiece". A little pricey at $39.99 but I had a coupon for $10 off and with the Powerup Rewards card for an additional 10% off I got it for $25 plus tax. Helluva an investment imo. Can't stop reading this thing. Now all I need is a picture frame for my canvas-like map.

I powered leveled to 56 after finishing the main quest. Deadric Arrows still don't show up in abundance. When I see any, it may be 4 or 5 in the quill. I think I have 60 total.

Hmm, I'm at 36-37 and found daedric arrows in 2 straight dungeons. Those dwarven centurions had a nice stock of them.

I did just finish some Daedric quest and got the staff Wabberjack. Makes the game that much more crazy.

The only thing pissing me off is the freezing. Happens far too often now.

          85 hours in.

I have an average of 2-3 freezes per playing session. Just really friggin annoying and a royal pain in the ***.

Other than that....what's not to like. This is video game crack at it's finest.

On the off hand, how many saves do you have? At one point my game started to chug, I deleted most of the saves (I kept 5 set saves and then the three auto saves) and never had another problem (got the platinum trophy at 111 hours).

Does anyone else get cold chills when in first person view walking through a dark cave or dungeon? I've definitely been caught off guard plenty of times and it made me jump lol. This game can be "scary" if played alone in the dark!!

I only keep 2-3 saves and a couple of auto saves like you.

                PS3.

I still get freezes. The game is sensitive I notice when you enter a new area and go to your quest menu or items....freeze. Or when you enter a new inn or a home....freeze.

Level 24 now and I'm absolutely annihilating the enemy. Ebony bow, +archery gear out the wazoo, and high-level sneak skills. I'm struggling to remember the last time I got hit The toughest parts of the game for me these days are when I'm out in the wilderness.

I feel kind bad for using it, but then again not so much; but did anyone...

I only had the game freeze once, during a load screen. The game will stall for a second if you try to go to the menus while it is autosaving, but once it saves it would resume just fine.

Still no Daedric arrows, however I do now possess a matching Daedric Bow/Sword, both at the Legendary level, to go along with my Legendary Ebony Bow/Sword as my weapons.

                        This game is awesome.

Wandering into a place you're not supposed to be level wise, only to die a horrible death is part of the fun

Definitely normal until you learn what to stay away from early in the game. Some things you just dont fool with until you get stronger.

I received a gift card for Christmas and am considering buying this game due to the greatness of many reviews and what you guys are saying on the board here.

Problem is that I'm not much of an RPG person. I tried the last game, Elder Scrolls? and just couldn't get into it.

Is this game like that one? It seems like the last one I got really bored with it. Too much wandering and trying to figure out what to do next and not enough action for me. I may just have to rent it and see.

Anyone here like this game but didn't care for the last one?
