I need a mod that ups the difficulty of this game, and I'm sure there won't be any until the CS is out. I'm playing on Master but Smithing/Enchanting is so OP that nothing is a challenge anymore. I was hoping that by maxing those out, it would make it so that I would be able to be victorious in battles at the highest difficulty yet still very much at risk of dying but it's way too much. I don't like the idea of having to gimp myself to make it fair either.

I found a mod, Deadly Dragons that I might use in the meantime till we start seeing stuff like MMM and OSO.

Yeah, I purposely avoided any of the trade skills because I heard how overpowered they become.

I am so confused on who to join in the Civil War? As my Nord I felt joining the Stormcloaks was a natural progression, but having read forward in the strategy guide much to my dismay I learn......

that as a stormcloak you must overtake Whiterun, and I just bought a house in Whiterun

I'm going to join the imperials once I decide to do that quest because the Stormcloaks aren't very nice to Elves.

The Imperials. The Stormcloaks are a bunch of racist religious fanatics. I'll take the cold comfort of a repressive foreign regime over that nonsense any day.

I went Imperials. Sure my guy is Imperial, but I just don't like Ulfric. Tullus seems levelheaded, and none of the Imperials like the elves in control either.

If you go further into the main quest

where you have to break into the Thalamor embassy, you learn that they're using Ulfric as a puppet, to weaken the Empire. The whole divide and conquer theory

I havent read many, maybe 2, and i only keep the ones that may lead to new locations or treasure. Come to think of it, I still have 2 treasure maps that i havent looked into yet

Books that do anything like add a skill point or initiate a quest do it automatically when you open the book the first time. I think the point being made here is that he keeps the book till the quest is finished because there might be something in it that is needed to complete the quest.

The Imperials are just as bad, they abandoned Skyrim and left it defenseless during the war, they let the concordat ban worshiping of the Nord hero-god. If the Imperials can't defend Skyrim, let the Nords do it.

I actually hate the Thalmor more than anything. My first encounter with them wasn't a pleasant one. I've sought to kill all of them ever since.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. If I really had my choice I'd side with the Forsworn and kick the Imperials and the Stormcloaks out. Afterall, it was their land before even the Nords showed up.

When do you choose which side to join? Is it based on who you follow at the very beginning of the game??? I followed Rolof the Stormcloak, but really don't want to join up with them...how would I go about choosing to join up with the Imperials instead?
