Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
You can buy a house in Whiterun at a certain point in the main story. You can buy them in other cities by becoming a thane after you do a certain number of missions for the Jarl/citizens in that town.
If you join one of the guilds (Companions, Mages, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves) their HQ usually have chests where you can store your stuff in. You can also store them in random chests you come across, but I don't know if they will stay there.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Yeah that's true too. When you come out of Helgen, regardless of if you follow the Imperial or the Stormcloak, you will be offered a place to rest at one of their respective homes in Riverwood. You can sleep and store stuff there.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I have tried to restart so many times as a non-archer character, to experience some of the facets of the game that I've been missing, but I just can't stick with it. I get about an hour or two in and discover that it just isn't as fun for me. Something about the first-person perspective just demands archery. I always end up reverting back to my stealthy archer save.Comment

SpoilerI'm level 23 now and I just mowed through the Dwarven ruins near Riften. Didn't get touched. Two-hit a centurion with Dwarven arrows to complete the dungeon.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I can imagine...
SpoilerAfter killing the leader of the Dark Brotherhood....I got an enchanted dagger from her......22 damage(base) and a 10 point health drain. Pretty powerful dagger!
I can only guess with perks what it would be like.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I need a mod that ups the difficulty of this game, and I'm sure there won't be any until the CS is out. I'm playing on Master but Smithing/Enchanting is so OP that nothing is a challenge anymore. I was hoping that by maxing those out, it would make it so that I would be able to be victorious in battles at the highest difficulty yet still very much at risk of dying but it's way too much. I don't like the idea of having to gimp myself to make it fair either.
The same thing with sneak and backstabbing. I don't even do it anymore since I one shot that dragon. It felt good at the time, but a little later I got sad because I realized I was a god, and who can stand against a god?
I found a mod, Deadly Dragons that I might use in the meantime till we start seeing stuff like MMM and OSO.Last edited by trobinson97; 12-23-2011, 12:27 AM.PS: You guys are great.
