Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Just hit 70 hrs on this "broken" game and still having a blast! I'm trying to clear out a bunch of quests so I feel like I'm actually doing something.
Also as soon as you feel comfy with yourself, something comes along and tests you to the limit. What a great, great game.Joshua:

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I was wondering if I can get some help fellas.
I was looking to make a character strong in one handed weapons [which i can apply magic to and upgrade], who also uses left handed fire and the like.
I would like to, if i can, have him tread lightly in terms of gear. Do I have to use steel or iron armors just because i want to specialize in hand combat? Or can I find decent gear for that type of player that isnt heavy like that.
I know this sounds like a newb question but thats what i am when it comes to non sports games, especially, RPGs as deep as this.
What;s the best way to go about it? I mean, are there any tips on getting there smoothly.
The items, magic screens are overwhelming! lol
My character is already a Nord, if that helps or matters.
Thanks guys!Last edited by econoodle; 11-29-2011, 06:28 PM.Comment

!
In the 1H weapon tree are perks to specialize in axes, maces, or swords so when you figure out which direction you want to go you can make yourself better with that type. Axes are slow but do more damage, swords are fast and do less damage, maces are right in the middle of both.
As far as armor goes, light armor consists of types like leather, studded, elven, glass and dragonscale, etc. Heavy armor types are iron, steel, dwarven, orcish, dragonplate, etc.
The confusion probably lies in the fact that you can have a steel mace, a dwarven sword, a elven axe, or a glass mace. These are all 1H weapons and it doesn't matter what armor you use while wielding them. Their damage is determined by your 1H skill not your light/heavy armor skill.
Hope that clears something up.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Hmmmm, actually I think you're right. I'm visualizing the 1H perk tree and I know axe is on the left, mace in the middle and swords on the right. Was basing my original comment on that but I think I'm wrong.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks
