So I'm at 95 two handed. I have a 30% two hand boost ring and a 16% two hand boost necklace on top of a 100% boost two handed through the perk tree all while using a daedric great sword, (Lydia has a daedric great ax). This is great I usually one shot things maybe two shot them, but freaking Lydia loves to poke her head out of the bushes at random times in the way of my swings for an instant one hit kill. I've killed Lydia at least 25 times in two days. So sick of reloading lol.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Minor but useful mod to make the Ore Veins more visable.
HERE
"This mod serves to make the game's ore veins much more visible,
especially in darker environments. It accomplishes this by adding
glow maps to each of the individual ore vein textures. This gives
them a subtle glow that appears brighter as the ambient lighting
become darker.
Without the mod, ore veins are very difficult to see and really
don't stand out much against the rocks around them.

Once, Lydia stood on a fire trap until she died, I tried going further but she wouldn't follow, just stood there in the flames until she died.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Anybody have this glitch...
The guy from the companions, if he sees me he comes running and starts talking to me and brings up conversion prompts. I back out and start walking away, but he follows me and brings up the prompts again. Seriously if I am anywhere near the companion place he just does it over and over. It cancels out my talking to the skyforge blacksmith, and he won't stop talking to me and chasing me around. I have to warp out of the city or enter/exit a building to get it to stop.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
This, pick something and focus on it. Don't be a sneaky, dual wielding, archer, destruction mage, who's good at lock picking, heavy armor, Restoration, speech and smithing. That was my character the first time around, and while I did pretty well, my character could've been so much better. You don't want to limit yourself, but don't go overboard or you'll just end up kind of decent at everything and just get slaughtered later on.
I will say something about smithing/enchanting. Don't go overboard early here either in place of actual combat skills. Enemies level with you, and even though you'll end up with some sweet gear, In my experience I've found actual combat skills will get you further. I had a character who I focused on smithing, I ended up with best armor in the game but gained about 10 levels, all made up of just smithing skills. To test it out, I went up to some guards and started a fight, and got owned while wearing the best armor and weapons you could get. In contrast my level 15 character who I've only focused on two handed and heavy armor can wreck giants in no time with some skillful maneuvering. Others may have different experiences here though, I'd just wait till a little later on before going banana's with non combat skills.
That's me your talking aboutI'm a dual wielding, congurating, alteration, destruction, mage that wears light armor. Think I'm going to start over I got happy feet and now I'm a jack of all trades.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I am in grad school so between my final project and the Old Republic beta I haven't touched Skyrim for a while. When I went back I was amazed by how good the game felt and IMO how superior it is to other games (my son played Skyward Sword and while it has its own merits it seems almost laughable to me now). It's awesome how halfway through the game I can decide I want to be more of a spellsword and head off to the Mage's college to do that. Unfortunately my Housecarl died....I shall miss her.DON'T PANICComment
