    According to Bethesda, Yes.

I tried to stop the update, but steam wouldn't have any of it. This is like NCAA all over again

              Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I see a lot of people confirming the resistance bug by shooting fire spells at their flame atronachs and seeing them take damage (I've done it too, FWIW). My question is whether they're supposed to be completely immune to their element. I know they were in Oblivion so I'm assuming they probably are, but I can't confirm for myself that it's bugged until I know that for sure.

I would go back and test it with the old version if steam would let me, but unfortunately it just downloads the patch when I uninstall/reinstall the game (and I can't install in offline mode). This is probably an easier test for the consoles because you guys have it easier rolling back to the original version (or at least PS3 does, I don't know if you can delete the game data like that on 360).

                Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I DL and installed patch. Didn't really notice any difference in textures and I have had it installed on HD since day 1. I dont have a great graphic eye though, but the game looks good.

Had a Dragon attack, he landed, we fought, he took off and circled in normal fashion. It did seem as if he had "Crash Landed" at one point kinda far away from me when he had about half health. I continued on my way and he came back, still with half health. A bear and myself finished him off. Got the dragon soul, everything seemed okay.

Checking on the resistances is kinda hard. (Im pretty sure flame antrocachs can still take damage from Flames, just less).

Hope this all gets worked out, what a game.

It's not that simple on the PC though. Steam can be a real bitch when it comes to updates.

                    Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Okay, now I can confirm it.

Found a way to roll back to the previous version: http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comme...me_to_deliver/ Yay for System Restore!

Anyway after following that process, I loaded up the game I had been messing around with where I had an atronach that took damage. Did the same thing, and this time when I flamed it it just stared at me while the message "Flame Atronach resisted flames" appeared at the top of the screen.

Not a spoiler, just a pic:

So, yeah.....it's busted. Good news is I'm still able to play on the older version while the issues get worked out.

Its just so tempting to fast travel. I had no idea of carriage travel until I left Winterun. I will probably do the same as you. Between the dragons, and the random ambushes I can just hoof it cross-country right now.

I've been getting into the habit of fast traveling too. Only when it's to a major city though and simply to get quests off my list. I know if I don't fast travel I'll run into something that will add to my list instead of me clearing stuff off of it.

If I haven't discovered a major city yet, I walk all the way there clearing a few places here and there. I start to use carriages once I discover a place and also to at least have a steady expense of gold.
