I really under estimated how much fun running around and casting magic is. I love me some stealth archery mischief, but am also discovering how much I love setting people on fire.

High Elf is extremely fun and quite powerful if you are going the pure mage spell casting route.

Yup this sounds like a good way to go. My current character is a Nord who'll gut you with his great sword which is fun, but a change of pace will be nice. I'll probably just switch back and forth between the two every few weeks.

I did the whole "High Elf" super destruction character and it got boring too. I don't mean to sway anyone away from it, but it was. I really enjoy the slo mo sequences of chopping someones head off so I've stuck with that.

Yeah, I just think it's normal to get bored with whatever character you have after a period of time.

I fell in love with magic when I got the Fireball spell.

I used Flames before that, and I liked it fine, but when I first used Fireball and blasted a guy with a big ball of fire (which caused him to fly backwards like 50 feet and die instantly), it felt awesome.

I've even used that spell to snipe people when they weren't looking. It's like shooting them with a silent shotgun. Really versatile spell.

Well I think it's time to call it quits for me. After making an overpowered mage, stealth archer, and warrior along with getting the platinum trophy I don't think there's much left for me to do.

Time to wait for Diablo 3...

Anyone else getting a bugged Shalidor's Insight quest?(PC)

It's showing me a different place on the map to go to(when checked as my current quest) then what I see on some online guides.
....and when I follow the pointer in my game....it's to a place that I cannot get to in the caves. (it's like two distinct caves in one....I jump from one to the other and the pointer and my Clairvoyance spell keep showing me the other cave despite how many times I jump back and forth. Brings me to a wall each time.

                    Thanks.

My one and only character (still on my first playthrough) is a High Elf Destruction Mage and I am a god wielding bad mofo with the power of fire, ice and lighting at my fingertips.

My destruction tree is one perk away from being complete (this weekend I will be a master).
                      I am a demon man!!!

I highly reccomend this race for a pure mage. Truly awesome.

Any idea what that spell is called? My only complaint with my mage character is a lack of stealth spells.

Conjuration is awesome once you get it levelled up. Conjuring a pair of dremora lords and have them roam around decapitating and impaling bad dudes on their great swords is prett awesome. Combine those two with J'Zargo and me sniping from the shadows with a bow and 3x sneak damage and I can clear out a large town like solitude of all guards in about 2 minutes.

That is why I made a spellsword. I get the magic casting and the cool slo mo sequences when I finish them off.

It's called Fireball. You buy it off a hooded dude in the Jarl's house in Winterhold, I do believe.

It's fairly pricey, but totally worth it.

LOL I think everyones second character are pure mages. I made one myself as Main the Dread needs some rest.

Think i might focus on conjuration and illusion just to be a little different.
