    Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Finally picked this up and am only about 20 some odd hours into it,but DAYUM if this game isn't crack for me.
I have encountered a glitch that I'm not sure if anybody else has encountered.

I married Camilla from Riverwood, and upon leaving the temple when she asked me where I want to live, she went outside the door and just disappeared

I haven't been able to find here ANYWHERE...not Riften,Riverwood...the temple...absolutely no where at all. After searching Google,it appears to be a glitch that if you don't talk to her BEFORE she gets outside, she just disappears never to return again.

While this isn't gamebreaking (imo) it is a glitch that I hope gets fixed with the 1.4 update,as I'm sure there was other stuff to encounter with being married, and to make matters worse...you can't remarry or anything.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

Ouch. That sucks. She's basically free gold when you get your own house and she opens up a shop.

Can you just reload an old save from before you married her?

I didn't think about doing a save,so that's a no-go. I had read about the frame rate issues on the PS3 version,so I have been deleting all the auto saves.

Instead of constantly deleting the auto saves, why not just turn them off?

I had my wife go outside and I talked to them there no problem so I guess I got lucky. Kind of dumb that they leave after the ceremony without talking anyway. They should come up to you and ask.

Either way after playing this game for over a month now I got the sudden urge to watch some LOtR.

Haven't played this in a little over a week, still had a few random quests and the Mages and Bards College to go through. Decided to fire it up tonight.

                    1. Fought a frost dragon and the game froze as I was absorbing his soul.
                    2. Decided to do the Bard's College quest to find the poem. Got the poem but then the dragon claw door got glitched and wouldn't open leaving me stuck in the bottom of the crypt with no way to the exit.
                    3. Reloaded and decided to go to another crypt that had to do with the Gauldur legend. Made it to the end and fought one of the boss draugrs, got hit with his FusRoDah shout which sent me clipping into a wall and found myself stuck. Last save was at the beginning of the dungeon.

Turned the game off and realized why I stopped playing it.

I haven't had too many issues. Only about one or two freezes. The biggest glitch I've encountered was one after the completion of a quest, the beginning keeps looping. There's a quest where you have to go to jail, well at least to continue the quest. Upon completing the quest a glitch may happen where the guards don't recognize that the quest has been completed thus repeating the you have to go to jail conversation with only two options, fight and run away or go to jail and keep looping. You can't pay a fine and you can't pay the guards off either. I just decided to put that quest on hold until the patch arrives.

I'm thinking I might take a break off from this this week. I'm still having fun with it (mage is a beast of a character), but its getting to the point where I might be putting too much time into it in too short amount of time and burning myself out. So, either I'm going to take a week off or just switch off with this and another game.

I have the PS3 version and it's only frozen on me once and that was on a load screen.

I started my new high elf character and I'm loving it. I have a spell in my left hand and a sword in my right and I get people close to death with my fire spell and finish them off with my sword. It's the best of both worlds.

Just upgraded my smithing last night to 100 so I could make some DragonPlate armor. I had assumed that dragon bones were only needed for the dragonplate armor so I sold all my dragonscales as I received them. Little did I know that I needed both. Ugh...

                              Great.

How many hours have you played with one character thus far?

I had no problems till I went over 100 hours.

It's not unplayable by any means but it is certainly annoying.

In the meantime I have the Skeleton key! Awesome.

So I am now knocking out a bunch of Misc quests. I also finally finished A Night To Remember. Very cool quest indeed.

I am doing the Blood Gathering and just need one more sample for that one.

I did the Daedric quest in Dragonreach last night and liked that one. I am finding the Daedric quests to be a lot of fun in a twisted evil way.

I have a 12K bounty on me in Markarth. He he. It is a chore when I need to go there for anything....so let's just say I won't be going there anytime soon again. I hate that place anyway as much as they hate me.

I finally purchased my estate in Solitude. Man that home is just awesome. I am however keeping my wife in our Whiterun home! So now I have a home West in Solitude, North in Winterhold with the Arch Mage wing of the College and South in Whiterun. I am contemplating another residence in Riften.....slumming it over there.

I love The Nightingale armor and bow. Being a full on destruction Mage who has transitioned to a master thief and soon to be Dark Brotherhood member I have been using my bow a lot more all of a sudden. This game is just so deep and really IMO the ultimate RPG. You can be anything, at anytime in the same playthrough. You can totally evolve your character at anytime.

I am going to take at least a week off from Skyrim. I need it. Back to Batman AC for a little while. I am 50% done with that and want to finish it over the next several weeks.
