1.4 notes are out. Looks like this starts the quest fixes, and hopefully helps PS3 players with their memory issues. The fixes might contain spoilers for some quests.

I'm eagerly anticipating the day my character is strong enough to go back to Markarth and unleash hell on most of the citizens there.

Only 15k? Damn. I have 45k in gold saved up. And that's after I've bought houses in Solitide (25k) and Riften.

I wound up with over 200k. Build up speechcraft and put a few perks into it and the gold starts flowing. I started, after every major quest, going to Whiterun and selling off all the loot gathered and would quickly pocket like 14k hitting up the major merchants (3 smiths, general store and mage in dragonsreach).

Sittin on 320k myself with every house bought and upgraded. Nothing to spend my wealth on, no spouse to share it with. Just a bunch of housecarls sittin in my houses, eatin up all the foooood. I need a cutie to take to the market in Solitude and tell her "Just throw it in the bag."

Sounds about right. Money quickly became a non-issue for me. I've got 150k sitting in a wardrobe in my Markarth house, 75K in Whiterun, and 150k in my pocket. I never took any speech perks but always carrying out thousands in loot from every place explored. Picked the lock of every chest i saw. All looted weapons and armor I dragged out I made sure I improved at the blacksmith's before selling.
Early on I found a +17% better prices necklace that I'd throw on before selling it all. That certainly helped. I never spent a penny on training and mined and hunted most of my own smithing materials.

Tonight was the first time I summoned the Spectral Assassin. I must say, I have no idea what he does. In the one boss type battle I had I didn't see him do anything... except... for some reason he decided to run to a treasure chest. Plus he talks all the time which is pretty annoying.

What level are you? I'm sitting at 25. Plus, the past couple of days I've been doing main quest lines and not doing much exploring.

I guess I'm as bad with money in the game as in real life, I think I have like 10K saved up and 5K on me. I have been selling dragon armor.

Clear a few caves, loot as much as you can and sell it (take the radiant quests from the stewards of the Jarl's to get some extra money as you clear). Gold will stack faster than you can spend it. You can use fortify strength/carry weight potions to increase your capacity. Selling will level your Speech which means you'll get more and more gold per item as you continue.

Fortify potions allow you to fast travel, which is key IMO.

Is Shearpoint really the hardest dragon altar to clear? I did that **** last night with no problem and am loving the hood-mask.

Yeah, I've been doing that my problem is always being weighed down. But not more, I am using the stone that increases my carry weight. My problem is I hate having to go from hold to hold to sell, stuff, because some of these shop owners are broke and the better your speech the higher you can sell for. I should probably empty my chest out that has all kinds of stuff I don't plan on using.
