    I really like the fog.

I think it looks pretty good overall. A weather and water mod, few texture mods (especially for NPCs), and an interior lighting mod and it's good to go. Definitely will feel like I don't need to download 60GB worth of visual mods like with the Legendary Edition.

One more screen of the Special Edition:

        Flawless...you're on PC, right?

Started it today. So good to be back in Skyrim. There have been some really good RPG's over the last few years, Witcher3, Fallout, etc, but nothing is like Skyrim, and The Elder Scrolls to me. Just love TES.

Adding some mods on XB1 is as easy as Fallout was, and love that we have more room. Wonder if they'll increase Fallout mod size from 2-5 too.

Also, good news for PS4 players. The mod author in the comment section says he will be releasing a smaller package with 30-40 spells in the future.

          From the same mod author:

Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim - This overhauls the perk trees. 400 new perks that are mostly akin to vanilla, just more depth and character build possibilities. Feeling or ever thought a certain build was under-powered, not fun, or maybe not possible? Ordinator can change this. I've used this the last two times I've played. The perk trees are simply more interesting and balanced. Recommended.

I just read that the audio in this version is worse than the original (due to using compressed files). Didn't this happen in the Bioshock remasters too?

Has anyone actually noticed it during their playthrough so far?

Two more of EnaiSiaon mods. I really like all of his mods.
                      • Imperious - Races of Skyrim - This mod makes races more unique and diverse. Each race gets 3 passive abilities and a quest to unlock a racial power. NPCs can use them too. Best to start a new game for this mod.

                      • Wildcat - Combat of Skyrim - This makes combat more deadly and AI more responsive. I mainly used it for the ability to modify damage dealt and taken, and timed blocking. It's not long before you become pretty much unstoppable and being able to tweak things to make it a more even playing field keeps combat interesting. Blocking is no longer a crutch and more dependent on skill level, shield strength, and perks. There's also completely optional combat injuries.

                      Previously mentioned recommendations:

                      • Alternate Start - Live Another Life - This is a mod I couldn't imagine playing Skyrim without, especially if it's not your first time playing. This allows you to skip the boring and long intro sequence. Choose another life from over a dozen choices that are well integrated.

                      • The Forgotten City - A lore-friendly time traveling murder mystery. This is one of the better quest mods.

                      • Point The Way - Another immersion mod that simply adds road signs to many intersections in the world. This one is on PS4 too, as it just uses assets from the game.

                      • Violens - A Killmove Mod - While not as robust as on PC, this still allows a good deal of customization of the killmoves for both melee and ranged. Change frequency at which they occur, camera settings, and more.

The following is for those that want a more survival feel to Skyrim. It's not about needing to drink, eat, and sleep (there's other mods for this). It's just about making the climate of Skyrim feel harsher.
                      • Frostfall - This makes weather matter by adding several survival based mechanics. You can customize the settings too.

*Removed the mod, no snow under the roof. It seems there's some mesh issues with the Special Edition.

It sounds like there ARE legit audio issues... on PC and Xbox One.

Are you on PC? Some screenshots posted look really good but I'm not seeing that quality on the ps4. The graphics aren't horrible but they are clearly below average for a ps4 game imo. The Witcher and DAI both look signicantly better. The cobwebs, water, player models, animations in combat, etc are all weak. I'd give the graphics a 6 or 6.5 max /10.

Met my first dragon. He's had me for lunch a few times. I'm only level 4 so maybe I need to Level up a bit more before trying again. I like how the quests feel seamless in this world. Been busted for stealing a couple times.

Yeah I am on pc. Honestly it is more likely that I'm impressed due to playing Skyrim right before the remaster came out. I would agree the Witcher looks much better.

I don't know what most expected. All I cared about was having this available to play on my PS4

                              Wish granted.

I did not expect some amazing transformation with visuals. It's still a stunning game for me with the depth of the land of Skyrim and the freedoms to be who you want.

I am easily going to sink another 200 plus hours into this game with my new Wood Elf Archer/Thief.

Just picked this game up with a bunch of trade credit I had with my GS account, never played the original but seen all the rave reviews for it, figured good time to jump in to this now that it's updated graphics and has all expansions included and on PS4. Will hopefully give me a good change of pace when need a break from sports games. [emoji3]
