Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I haven't messed with mods yet but these might be a good start to try out.
http://whatculture.com/gaming/skyrim...ed-to-download
Rain and Snow FX
No Borders Solstheim
Castle Ragnar
Phenderix Magic Evolved
You Don't Know Me
Merchants at Inns
Also a couple of others I use are
Merchants having 10K gold to use for buying your stash
Lamp Posts On the Roads of Skyrim
I believe in having the base out of the box encumbrance system and using a follower as a pack mule if I have too. I just can't play and adventure realistically with no encumbrance. I like having to make those tough choices of what to drop when it is needed and when to use that increased carrying capacity potion, and also investing in some stamina for that purpose as well.
But Mods are there for you to play anyway your heart desires. It's crazy. But I am enjoying the game even more the second time around on PS4. Part of that is the new character build, but also knowing my way around the land and really having a more focused adventure session every time I fire it up. My quest log is not as littered. I hold off now on certain things until I complete my primary goals.
The game is marvelous and yeah....for a non sports game my all time favorite. It's just that good.
I am going to share pics here now of my adventures. I already have taken a few awesome shots. Now Playing on PS5:
CFB 26 Hurricanes/Fresno State Year 2
MLB The Show 25 - 2025 Yankees Year 1
MLB The Show 25 1985 Yankees Year 1

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
A&S, I think you and I are in similar boats.
I dumped a ton of hours into my Destruction Mage and Two Handed Warrior on the PS3. The Witcher pretty much ruined my joy of playing this and I actually had no intention of buying this until I saw (or was reminded) that you could use mods. I finally decided to go with a sneak/archer build with the mods and I'm back to playing this game for hours and hours and nothing else.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I'll probably wait a bit before diving back into the SE version. don't think I can ever go back to the vanilla UI. Will wait for SKSE and SkyUI at the very least.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
That's what I'm doing. Going to wait for more mods and kinks to be worked out. The author of SkyUI said he has no interest in porting it to the Special Edition, but is open to possibly given someone else permission to do so.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
What version of this game would you choose, the PC version with mod capabilities or the PS4 special edition version.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
slightly disappointed that 21:9 is not supported without 3rd party apps or mods. but that is nothing new. just sad that older games have added that in and Bethesda seems to be behind in that in their games.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Was going to hold off for a little bit but caved and don't regret it all. One of my favorites of all time for sure.
A New Life mod is definitely a must though, pretty cool beginnings and you don't have to sit through that super long tutorial/opening.Comment

SkyUI 2.2 works great on my end. I'm using the modified version that doesn't have the warning.Comment
