Not much of a backlash for a game that is about a year old now......most people have moved on to other games now, so the sting is no where as near as bad if they announced this back in December or January.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I wonder if there is anything we (ps3 users) can do if they can't release a DLC.
It clearly states on the box that there will be add on content available which is a huge draw to buy the game.
If they can't provide it, is that not false advertising?
Really annoyed considering I have 360 and ps3, chose to buy it for ps3 when it released so that I wouldn't have the xbox on for long periods of time.*AKA NFC3PO on the Madden Modding Discord*Comment

It's not because they gave us horseback combat.
So... there's your additional content.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Bow and magic kill cams are also additional content.
PS3 users haven't prepaid for any dlc and we never entered into any type of contract guaranteeing it. There's nothing to be done other then to voice your discontent and not buy any Bethesda products in the future if you feel that strongly about it.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I have built myself an magnificently massive mansion outside of Falkreath. Now it's time to finally (after, what, near 300 hours) find out how to marry someone and then adopt some kids and get a steward and some pets.
#****YouPS3
Now this just opened up a bunch more small stuff for me to do: need to find a wife, some kids, pets...and then I need to start collecting weapons and armor and books to fill up all of the racks/shelves/etc. I filled my house with, LOL.
Crazy that most of my time spent with this character has just been spent collecting ingredients and materials to create potions/things to sell to build up money.
I did finally beat the Dawnguard and Companions quests with This character but I still haven't even talked to the Jarl of Whiterun about the dragon problem yet, main story wise. Won't be selling this game until the next one comes out.Last edited by Beantown; 09-17-2012, 12:35 PM.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I'm seriously considering switching to the Microsoft console next generation because of all the PS3 issues with DLC. Not just this game, it just seems like we're generally screwed on this by everyone.
Hell, if EA puts out a decent baseball game, I can't see a reason not to switch.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Looking for suggestions (PC):
I am getting a freeze as soon as I load any save file once my character is leveled to 27. I have 107 mods installed, but they where all installed clean for a new game for this character and I have no issues with any of my saves before my character reaches 27. In fact, I can load a file that I have from right before I accept the level-up (but have already been granted it) with no issue as well. I can also continue playing with the character after I level up to 27. None of my saves work once I reach that level though (even if I'm reload the file I'm playing from in-game it freezes).
I've redone my config and preferences, resorted my mods (and the resorted them back), checked my saves with Mod Organizer, reinstalled and updated drivers, reinstalled SKE files, verified game cache integrity in Steam, tried new saves, clean saves, etc. No bloated save files either. I'm out of ideas. I'm going to try and play through until I gain another level to see if it sorts itself out, but I'm doubtful. Anyone got anything? Thanks.
EDIT: Well, nothing is working and I've even tried going further back and re-leveling. As soon as I hit level 27 my saves freeze when loaded. I'm going to have to do yet another reinstall (the first was me goofing a mod install). 'The only thing that was added mid-game by me was Dawnguard, but disabling it refreshing cells and trying a clean save like that didn't work either.
I think at this point I'm going to shelve the game until I know it's done being updated, then reinstall it fresh and do everything from that base. By then there will likely be more knowledge of possible mod conflicts that don't show up right away as well. I did it sort of like that with Oblivion (one relatively "lightly modded" game early and one heavily modded game well after updates stopped) and had no issues). I should have known better, I guess, but modding becomes addictive. Oh well.Last edited by SoxFan01605; 09-23-2012, 09:09 PM.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
This game is terrible both on the PS3 and xbox 360 because so many problems like failed quest, game freezing and glitches are my major concern.Comment

I played over 200 hours when this game came out and never had any issues. It's a HUGE RPG, there are always some types of bugs.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I'm having a blast again w/ the game. I have a full set of sabre cat armor, which is much like the Stormcloak officer armor. VERY slick. Took me forever to find and hunt enough Sabre cats to make it though. The amount of mods that I have, have made this a new experience for me. Walking through the plains, only to encounter a dremora lord, vampire lord, or other crazy stuff is sweet. Especially when I'm just a mere level 6 warrior. I have some followers though. I ran upon a "Warzone" the other day, and had literally 30-40 bandits, redguards, stormcloaks, and imperials all fighting. Awesome stuff. Watched everything go down, and killed the last few, and looted the remaining bodies.
Smelted the weaponry, sold some of it... awesome stuff.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Honestly, that sounds like a comment made from someone who hasn't actually played the game, but instead read message board comments. The ps3 version is known to have some problems but the Xbox version is perfectly fine.Yankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York RangersComment
