about 4 hours in. just got to Whiterun.

game looks great with high-res mods. didn't want to use a lot of mods for first playthrough though. mostly just graphically stuff for now. I did DL a companion mod, "Vilja in Skyrim". seemed like a good one, even has voiced dialogue for the created companion. haven't met her yet, so can't say anything about the quality yet.

any other PC skyrim players have other mods for suggestions?

Just started a new play through because the trailer for the new dlc has me amped and I can't decide what character build to go with. My last character was a stealth/assassin/archer so I need to go in another direction. Any ideas?

Gigantic two-handed weapon wielding brute that wears only heavy armor.

Basically the opposite of what you did before.

                      Dragonborn DLC screenshots

Dragonborn will be released on 4th December on Xbox Live. No PC or PS3 dates have been aired yet, but given the Dawnguard saga on PS3 you may be in for a wait. On Xbox Live Dragonborn will cost 1600 Microsoft Points.

Dragonborn takes place on the north-easterly and independent island of Solstheim, which has both a bit of Morrowind and Skyrim about it. The focus of the DLC is on the return of a the dragon priest, the first Dragonborn who turned a bit nasty actually.

Among all that will be ridable dragons, it looks like, although what degree of freedom you'll have to control the great beasts remains to be seen.

The Dragonborn website detailed one new shout (or spell or power - it's not clear): Dragon Aspect. This both strengthens your blows as well as all other shouts. The website says to expect new powers and "new paths for your skills and abilities". Whether this means new perks or simply access to more of the existing perks I'm not sure.

New armour types Bonemold and Chitin are mentioned, as are Stalhrim weapons. There's an enemy-type called a Riekling, and you'll be venturing into "a new Daedric realm".

                        Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

they are bringing back Bonemold and Chitin armors from Morrowind. I guess Bonemold would be heavy armor since they don't have medium armor type in Skyrim(unless they are adding that back in as well, though I doubt it)

also in that screenshot, you can see the volcano from Vvardenfell, where Morrowind took place. thats pretty cool.

Is there a limit to how much you can train early on? I was able to train up to level 24 in Archery with the elf in Riverwood, then paying gold didn't increase it to 25.I was around level 2-3.

You can only train 5 levels in a skill until the next time you level up overall.
