I don't use them, I just stock pile them. I usually use Orcish or Dwarven at the moment.

So I just dled the patch for PS3, and now my saves are getting stuck on the loading screen with the character models and Skyrim lore. Did I just lose my Skyrim saves?

my current character is an all around kinda guy, a good at pick-pocketing, decent at sneaking around, a great 1 hand user, good enough archer, light armor so he can be quick, and not good at all at magic. i beat the main questline vary early. i started the thieves guild and dark brotherhood, although i havent gone far with them since i initially wanted this guy to be a hero not a criminal.

i think im going to make another character now, either a wood elf or a Kahjet(i doubt that i spelled that correctly, but its that cat people). and be primarily an archer with also some 1 handed skills. which race do you guys recommend?

what side questlines do you guys enjoy the most? i dont think i will even touch much of the main quest, if any, with this character since i played through it all already and to be honest i had much more fun doing side quests than the main one.

I have fully restored the Thieves Guild to it's former glory. :-) Now I'll probably move into the Dark Brotherhood.

120 hours in and I found Blackreach.

Wow. Killer place to say the least.

Level 39 and I am one perk away from filling my entire destruction tree.

That is exactly what I am doing. I am a 1/3 of the way through the Thieves Guild quest line. Then on to the Dark Brotherhood.

I bought and fully upgraded the house in Riften and it is bad ***. I love the dock-side entrance. I enchanted my bow to do fire damage and also created a gold necklace to fortify my archery +13%.

Sneaking is up to level 80 with all available perks. Archery is sitting at 60~ with only one perk available that I don't have unlocked yet. Lockpicking is a couple perks behind and I haven't done much with pickpocketing.

I completed the Thieves Guild questline and that was really cool. Some pretty cool twists and turns, not to mention all the cool loot you get throughout.
                  Spoiler

I fully upgraded my throw voice and that is an awesome tool for stealth. I was using it to clear out some of the rooms in the Thieves quest. It's very helpful for more open spaces and rooms with multiple enemies. Make them scatter and take them out.

Had some jobs in Windhelm to do for the Guild, so I make my way there (plus I had a bounty for a dragon). For some reason I decide to take the path through the graveyard in the middle of the night and come across a crime scene. Of course, everybody in Skyrim is a moron except for yours truly and I pull some Columbo and throw "The Butcher" in jail. I barely got a thank you. Its a good thing I snatched that amulet to, because nobody seems to think to give me a reward for such a high profile arrest.

There was a dragon attack in Riften, but that was quelched within seconds (largely thanks to me). The dragon did eat somebody important, apparently. I was returning Darvin's bow when the dragon attacked and nearly to the mill when this flashes across the screen "Return Darvin's Bow" failed. Haha. Dude got killed by a dragon.

Anyway, I'll probably take a day or two off and maybe start up a pure-mage. I'm still loving the game, just don't want to get burnt out quite yet.

Finally got my first platinum trophy with this game (I had to go for it after i realized I had 91% of the trophies already). Just started a new character and it feels like a completely different game. Now I just run around with my stealth character hunting, gathering, and stealing.

Have you done Vex and Delvin's side jobs in order to restore the Guild fully. Those are pretty fun. Nice reward at the end too.

The only "important" person I've lost in a dragon attack was the blacksmith in Riverwood. We were talking, making some equipment together when a dragon came out of nowhere and toasted him. I searched his body took the key to his house. Went inside and took any valuables he had with his widow just sitting there.

I have not. I was reading you have to do 5 jobs for each city to unlock a special "city mission." How many jobs do you have to do before the guild is "fully restored?"

Yeah you have to do 5 in Markarth, Whiterun, Winterhold, Windhelm, and Solitude, then you do a special request job for each hold. So counting the special mission I guess that's 30. You do get gold for each mission as well, but not too much (~300). I'm pretty sure there wasn't a special mission for Riften, but they Vex and Delvin will give you jobs in Riften. The jobs are real short and easy, it just takes time fast traveling back and forth and not getting sidetracked. The location of the jobs assigned by Vex and Delvin are random, so even after you do the special request for a specific hold, they'll still assign you jobs to do there, but you can just opt out of the job (get chastised a bit) and given another job. That gets a little tedious as dwindle down on the number of jobs you have left to do in a hold.

I'm having more fun with my 2nd character what I saved by mistake over my first one. Knowing what to do from the start makes it easy to level up quickly.

I do wish you could skip the beginning part of the game when you are in the cart riding into the village to await execution. I know that it's supposed to teach you the game but it's annoying to play though that again.

I somehow had a touch of genius when I went through the first time and made a save right before the character creation part.

I finally took down that Dwemer Centurion at the end of Shimmermist Cave. Level 32 and Legendary Glass Armor and Sword did the trick. Smithing and Speech to 100, but I still need the Dragonsmithing Perk.
