Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
It's one of those games that when I sit down, I say "ok just one quest" and it ends up being 5...because on my way across from Riften to say Solitude to do a job for Vex in the Thieves Guild.....I discover 2 dungeons, a cave and a fort and must clear them all and hunt for loot. Or I hit some other quests in my log in my travels across Skyrim.
It's just an amazing game. My GOAT of non sports games.
That intro music when you pop in the game NEVER get old....EVER!
GOAT for me...all day everyday...

Has a merchant/market mode come out so things are more expensive so you don't get rich as quickly?PSN: Dalton1985

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I haven't seen anything like that, actually, one of the more popular mods gives merchants more gold to buy with so you can get rich even quicker.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Can anyone help a Skyrim noob. I played on PS3, went back and bought it on PC, and haven't really got back into it.
So I'm thinking of doing some streaming of it but I'm unsure what mods I should have, order they should be placed, and all that jazz.
Any assistance would be hugely appreciated. This is on PC btwComment

Special Edition or Legendary Edition?
Anyways, read mod authors descriptions for installation, incompatibilities, patches, and they will usually say if a mod needs to be placed somewhere specifically.
LOOT is what you will want to help sort your load order though.

Gopher has a really good walkthrough series on Youtube.
- Nexus Mod Manager: Beginner's Guide #1 - Install, Setup and Update
- Nexus Mod Manager: Beginner's Guide #2 - Installing and Removing mods
- Nexus Mod Manager: Beginner's Guide #3 - Plugins & Load Order
Here's a really in-depth guide for the Legendary Edition. Much more time consuming to mod this version, but worth checking out if you wanted to go crazy.
Essential Mods:
- Unofficial Patch
- Static Mesh Improvement
- Alternate Start - Live Another Life
- Sky UI (people say version 2.2 works with the Special Edition)
Highly recommended:
- Skyrim Flora Overhaul (if you have a good PC)
- Realistic Water Two
- Enhanced Blood Textures
- True Storms
- Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim
Really there's too many good mods to list and the Special Edition support gets better each day. Sort by most endorsed on Nexus and see what piques your interest. Make a test character and try some out, then start a proper playthrough.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Another one that helps is enchanting, when you get it leveled the items you enchant lead to good gold.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
i understand why trophies are disabled with mods, but too bad there can't be mods that don't affect trophies. Ones that don't mess with gameplay. Like the light up the town one or visual enhancements.
I suppose I can do three games. One for trophies, one with effects and one where I go crazy with mods, or 1gb worth at leastComment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
So I picked this up and immediately forgot just how good of a game it was.
I played about 10% of the game and put it down never to play it again.
With the remaster i was intrigued esp with the PS4 PRO support but after watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgJgRBwJpeY
(Now if the video looks too contrasty or dark thats because he's running the internal brightness the game lower. No fret it looks even better with default brightness)
I got it for Xbox one S.
App visual mods are not coming to PS4 so no amount of PS4 PRO processing can do what this mod did to it
Applying mods to Xbox one S couldnt be simpler. Download, make sure theyre in the right order and presto!
MODDED.
If you guys are wondering maybe what visual mods to put together to make Skyrim look nicer or even completely changed please look into this guys load order its made skyrim betterBrand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
It still looks really good with mods on PS4. Picked it up for $26 off PSN so I'm happy with it.
