Some seriously jaw-dropping moments in the second half, and especially towards the end. I would say the highs were higher in UC3, but UC2 was the more consistent and memorable experience overall. It's pretty close though.

Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
I'm playing the game in 3D and it looks amazing.
I'm trying to take my time when playing the game. Checking every nook and cranny for treasure. Thought ive found every treasure up to the 8th chapter (where im currently at) Turns out ive missed at least 1 in each chapter. They really hid them good this year.
I'm playing on hard difficulty so i take full advantage of the stealth parts that i can.PSN: buckeye02Comment

I've definitely noticed this:
We also changed how the enemies move in Uncharted 3. Your foes can run faster to their desired position than in Uncharted 2, which changes the flow of gun combat as well, from what you were used to if you're coming off fresh from Uncharted 2.

I'm dying to play the game! On a business trip in Pittsburgh right now and am getting back home late tonight. Have Friday off since my birthday is Saturday and am planning on picking up the game and playing a TON this weekend.
Sounds like everyone is enjoying the game so far.Ryan Spencer

Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
I'm at Chapter 22 and have 9.5 hours logged into the game.
This game definitely has some huge ups. Chapters 17 and 19 had so many grand cinematic-like moments in them. It really made for some awesome gaming.
Although, with all the highs come a few lows, but they're not incredibly bad. The only problem(s) for me are how often the game throws in a movie-like progression for levels to unfold, and all of the "unrealistic" inhuman elements it throws at you.
Also, the story is just getting a little weird. It's cool, but again, when the movie portion of the game throws itself in front of the game's play too much (I'm not just talking about cutscenes and QTE's, but some other things that you'll run into), it's a bit perturbing.
I can't wait to finish this one! Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Didn't notice much issue with the controls and gunplay until I took it to multiplayer...but I adjusted quickly enough though.
Beat the game finally...
SpoilerI'm both content but midly disappointed with the final level. I knew from a mile away they'd introduce the same non-melee, run and gun only mooks at the end. But at least they managed to make them interesting anyway. More Dormamu/Ghost Rider than zombie, brick****house thing.
UGH I spent WAY too much time fighting the guy on the boat with the LMG and armor. I was certain the only way to beat him was to lure him between the sliding crates, but he'd never follow me and I'd get tagged up by those annoying mooks. Still, very very fun all the way through. I liked playing as teen Drake. Couldn't escape the fact that the kid looked uncanny valley-esque. Even Drake looked...odd this time around.
And I gotta admit, the character's kept me in circles cuz I never saw Cutter being a good guy coming and kept expecting him to go baddy again at some point, but he was one of the best character's in the whole game. Sully's fake death threw me for a loop or two also. And I absolutely LOVED Drake tripping balls segments. Nolan North's voice acting sold everything.
Can easily see why this game got 10s round the board from IGN. My only gripes were really minor cuz I never stopped enjoying what I was doing even when it was frustrating it was a fun frustrating cuz I had to change up my tactics to win.
And finally, why'd they get rid of Chloe's delicious lady lumps? It was the only thing likeable about her character. I was glad when she dropped out of the 2nd and 3rd acts.Comment

Will do Crushing some other time. I have MW3 and SR3 coming up the next two weeks, so I just had to make sure I got one playthrough good and over with.

SpoilerHaha, I'm the same exact way as you for almost everything. It took me about a half hour to fight that guy on the boat because I too thought that he had to go between the crates. Then again, I also thought you had to knock him through the glass during a wave crash and that you had to hit him with ten grenades (yours plus a few of his). I also wondered if he could even be defeated. I sat there asking myself: "What's keeping me from fighting in this area? Why don't I just move onto the next area?" Little did I know, I was a Triangle action away from proceeding.
I nearly shed a tear when I thought Sully died. My emotions escaped me almost instantly when I started shooting at teleporting flameheads, but it was nice that they threw that in there. There were quite a bit of character fallouts at the same time. Almost every main character we know evaded us for over half the story. If you consider that about seven straight chapters were simply spent just looking for Sully, it sure questions the integrity of this game's story. I preferred the first two in the "treasure hunting" aspect of the story, but this definitely had some good meat and potatoes in there as a great character arc in general. (For the record, I thought Cutter turning bad would be way too obvious, so I'm glad they never flipped him.)
The final battle wasn't some massive boss fight where he's the almighty superior opponent in the game, but I think I was okay with that. I was afraid that we were going to get a three-tiered boss battle: first we would get him in a fist fight as we did, then we would play some shoot-em up game with him where he is some flameballer, then we get dosed with some crazy toxin and start tripping balls while trying to get him in his super-powered mode, meanwhile fighting off some other goons of his who decide to tag along. That would have been much, much worse.
Overall, it picked up and let off a whole bunch, so the bad definitely came with the good. I was mighty relieved that we didn't get any monster creatures this time around. The big spiders weren't that bad, because we didn't have to attack them or anything. We just had to stay in the light. The big issue this time around were the flaming guys and the big armored dudes.
A couple of other things I really liked about this game, as far as improvements over UC2 go. Grenade play is much, much better. The fact that the AI doesn't always throw it right where you are, plus the option that sometimes pops up for you to throw it back, is very boss. The hand combat was also a very, very nice step up in this game, especially since it was so prevalent. The different kinds of tactics implemented in this game (shooting up a scaled wall, swimming underwater), the new guns and countless chase/evade sequences, and just everything else was truly awesome. The gunplay needs work, but maybe they can patch that in if online play is just fine the way that it is.
Anyway, I hope everyone plays this through at least once and can finish it. It definitely played much, much shorter than UC2, but it was short and sweet while it lasted!Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
