It looks like the party size has increased by one?

I know it won't be, but a small part of me fears so much that this game is just going to be action, action, action.

Well it's an **** conclusion to a successful RPG franchise, which the two previous games have built up to. They're going to ad all the action parts heavily, and make sure they're good. However, we'll still have plenty of time to chill on the Normandy and hit on the crew members.

Cuz we all know the most important thing happenin' in ME3 ain't whether Shepard can beat the Reapers. It'll be who Shep gets to hook up with. Especially if you hooked up with one person in ME1, another one in ME2, then try for a different on in ME3.

          Can't wait for the catfights.

Edit: Also, that is one big damn thresher maw.

Aside from the first pre-rendered commercial, every ad in the series has focused on the action part.

One hopes that because it was the Spike VGA's, that this would just be them catering to an audience. If you go by the Star Wars forumla, 3 being Return of the Jedi, we should get tons of action.

I'd like to see a story trailer, but I'm guessing they can't really show off too much without giving the game away. As long as Shiala makes a cameo

Was that story of three seperate game modes: Story heavy experience, light action; original experience with equal parts story and action; action heavy experience, light story...was all that real or something fake or speculated? Cuz if true, I doubt they'd shirk the story if they were gonna release a gameplay style that only focused on story and not action.

I think one of those "modes" has it so you don't make any decisions whatsoever. The game does it for you and just moves on with dialog or whatever is happening.

Idk why, I know it's only a option but action mode, really?

If one of my friends says that they are playing on that mode I'm going to have to hurt them, lol.

I guess as long as there arnt any achievements for playing Action/story mode that you only get in them modes I be fine.

                    Sent from me, duh.
I still stick to my guns saying that without the choices and stuff Mass Effect is just another generic Shooter.

If you take out the unique aspects of anything, then it's going to be generic.

I know but you be surprised how many people argue with that fact. I try but people always want to say that the combat in ME could stand on its own and be a great game without the story and choices.

You need to start slapping these people. The core of the game is the story and the choices. I love that the combat is improving each game but to me it was the way the story immersed me into its universe.

And people are only assuming this because they've seen a lot of talking, but who would market the talking portion of the game, that doesn't sell copies. Just because the combat is better, doesn't mean the storytelling is both. Actually, I feel it's quite the opposite. Bioware is putting everything they have into this game, and I can't wait to get it.
