Damn, lucky people. If I knew they were going to leak a demo I would've tried to get into the preview.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
Well being that development teams are becoming bigger and bigger, with well over 100 people, the odds of stuff leaking early is just going to increase. Kind of hard to watch over a 100 people in different offices closely.Comment

Action Mode: For those who want to emphasize action and combat and minimize story management. Action mode will set automatic replies in conversation and a normal difficulty.
Story Mode: For those who want to emphasize story immersion and minimize combat pressure. Story mode will set manually-selectable replies in conversation and a minimal combat difficulty.
RPG Mode: For those who want to explore both realms of story and combat. RPG mode will set manually-selectable replies in conversation and a normal combat difficulty.
Idk why, I know it's only a option but action mode, really?
If one of my friends says that they are playing on that mode I'm going to have to hurt them, lol.
I guess as long as there arnt any achievements for playing Action/story mode that you only get in them modes I be fine.

Re: Mass Effect 3
I like how people focus on the action mode part as a "sign" that Bioware is dumbing the game down but ignore that there's the opposite option to focus more on the story part with easier combat, along with just keeping the game the same as it has always been with the RPG option. People whine way too much.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

In other news, here's some footage from the leaked beta:

Mass Effect is a decision, story driven game. Taking that away makes it similar to the other shooters and doesnt make it unique to the point of it being Mass Effect. I guess what im trying to say that in the "Action Mode" it stops being Mass Effect and starts being just a 3rd person shooter.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Mass Effect 3
Also, straight from Bioware for those wondering:
One feature that was present in this early build is a set of game play modes that are in development. In the beta code they are referred to as “action mode”, “story mode” and “RPG mode”. We want to stress that these features are still in the early stages of development and will receive considerable iteration and refinement. These modes are designed to give players an even finer degree of control over their game experience than ever before. Whether it be someone who finds the combat difficult but wants to experience the amazing story, someone who wants to focus on the action and combat game play, or fans who want the rich, story-driven RPGMass Effect experience they’ve come to love –Mass Effect 3 will support all of these options. We’ll have more info in the days ahead!Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
Yeah I was in the Mass Effect forums earlier and its ridicules. Im not saying they are dumbing down the game, im saying that I will smack people I know for playing that mode.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Yeah, so apparently Bioware is in full damage control mode. Inside the beta leaked via Xbox Live was supposed story data. And by story data, that supposedly means "the whole game". Bioware has sent C&D's to GAF, and other sites.
The info is already all over different sites. I'd want to be a fly on the wall when Bioware calls MS.Last edited by LambertandHam; 11-07-2011, 05:33 PM.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
There was no copy and paste of anything that would be in direct violation of copyright, but I can't blame the owner of GAF for nuking the thread and protecting the site. Poor showing from EA and BioWare. Microsoft is who they should be taking to task for this leak. Sending out Cease and Desists is only going to draw more attention to it.
Edit: Microsoft initiated. Trying to cover up their own mistake, but it's to late once it hits the Internet, and again, this will only draw more attention.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Because of MS making this big of a **** up, Bioware should now be allowed to release the first ME on PS3. It's only fair.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Well the original Mass Effect 2 script went through rough drafts as well, so there is still hope. It isn't like the game is coming out next month, so they have some time.Comment
