I am, any and all resources should've been spent on the sp. the mp will prob last for a few weeks before the majority sp crowd that invested hours into the first two games will leave it alone. What a waste

I don't get this...it's a co-operative multiplayer supplement to the SP campaign. I can play my Shepherd and have a great time, and then play co-operatively with a few friends and help out that same Shepherd. Seems like win-win.

Regarding spending less time on SP...due to the great success of the the first 2 games, I get the feeling they added more people to ME3 and (due to the delays) spent the time they needed to make this a great all-around game. It's not Madden where they have a tight schedule, they just bumped out the ship date to make sure everything is in good shape.

Great games like the Mass Effect series don't need multiplayer.

And great leagues like the NFL don't need award shows...but they have one anyway. I don't like the award show, but it's not hurting anything and may increase the NFL's popularity.

I think MP for ME3 is the same thing.

The MP team was separate from the SP team. They added people to make this happen so I'm not sure why people are hating already. If SP flops, which I'm very confident it won't, then we can all complain.

For me it's like nfl adding arena league rules to the season. I know they are gonna play on the completionist mentality in RPG players and force us to play this. Mp shoulda been a spin off game

But it IS COMPLETELY COMPLEMENTARY. It does not change SP gameplay at all, it just adds a new dimension if you choose to use it. You can 100% complete every SP goal without multiplayer. Where's the forcing?

I don't even play MP games or shooters and I always lean toward the SP/story-telling games, but I'm excited for this because it's something that doesn't hurt my SP game at all and adds a new dimension that allows me to share ME with my friends in ways that involve more than talking about it.

It's been said that this mp will directly affect ones galactic readiness in the single player. So that means I am bring forced to play this mode. I don't mind mp, I play horde on gears, just not in my mass effect.
If they spend one cent on mp it shoulda been spent on sp. it indirectly took away from sp

Sry you wrong. It's been stated multiple times that you can play just single player and still get the "perfect ending" that you can get if you played multiplayer and single player.

                          EXACTLY.

You can get 100% complete perfect ending without ever playing any online/MP mode.

It is strictly supplemental to the single player. No forcing, not missing out on any story elements.

From the actual Bioware site: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/to.../index/8481789

                                4 player co-op multiplayer

Join your friends in the all-out galactic war to take Earth back. The universe of Mass Effect expands with the addition of new co-op multiplayer missions, playable over Xbox Live, PSN and PC internet. Players can choose from a variety of classes and races, form an elite Special Forces squad, and combine their weapons, powers and abilities to devastating effect as they fight together to liberate key territories from enemy control. Success in multi-player will have a direct impact on the outcome of the single player campaign, giving players an alternative method of achieving ultimate victory against the greatest threat mankind – and the entire galaxy – has ever faced.
Yes if you want to experience a "alternate" perfect ending you will have to play multiplayer but you can still get a perfect ending just by playing single player.

Saying the game requires you to play multiplayer is incorrect. You want to play multiplayer to see both the multiplayer perfect ending along with the single player perfect ending.

Its entirely your choice in the matter. Its entirely optional.

Also for all of those worried that Multiplayer is going to takje away from the single player heres what I got to say. The multiplayer team was entirely different then the single player team. The single player team never got distracted with multiplayer at all. I mean come on people, Bioware knows what they are doing. Mass Effect 1 was good, Mass Effect 2 was great. If I trust any company to deliver a great single player experience with Multiplayer in it, it be Bioware. Why all the worry?
