I'm at my first real boss fight in Ch. 1 Can't remember it's name. The creature in the river....so far not doing to well! But I know I'll figure it out. The depth of this game keeps suprising me. I love that you gain "knowledge" on certain creatures.

It's the Kayran I believe. If you need a hint let me know. I reached a certain point in the battle where I had NO idea what to do...I had to research it...and while it was a simple solution I didn't think there were any indicators pointing to that action.

I just noticed that there are no female dwarfs or children...

Well what's his name was supposed to marry a female dwarf so we know they exist in that world...still tis a strange thing....

it started throwing rocks I was like wth am I supposed to do. It never occured to me to run up the bridge on the left. IMO it was a lame ending to a decent boss fight.

I have been trying to role play the game as a neutral Witcher character that has a bias towards injustice (that's the vibe I get from Geralt) so I side with groups on a situational basis. I wonder how it will turn out. Also, I like the fact that there really are no true "good guy" factions. Each side is messed up to some degree.

Finished the game today. Most fun I've had playing an RPG in a LONG time. Was sad to see it end, and wasn't ready for it to be over to be honest. Can't recommend this game enough. Great job by the devs!

I started playing but was totally lost in terms of characters, etc. I have the Witcher Enhanced Edition now and am working my way through that before starting the Witcher 2. Not sure how I missed this game the first time around as it is an absolute blast to play.

The Witcher 2 coming to Xbox 360; new PC patch tomorrow

During its 'Summer Days' pre-E3 event, CD Projekt has finally confirmed that The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will arrive on the Xbox 360.

The developer promises that the console version will not "compromise" quality in its conversion. The Xbox port is expected to launch by the end of 2011.

The news of a console version comes to no surprise as the developer had previously stated the team "always wanted and still plans to develop The Witcher 2 on consoles."

CD Projekt also took a moment to reveal a new patch (v1.2) will arrive tomorrow. The patch balances the game's prologue, adds the ability to map keys, tweaks "Target locking", TW1 save file import fixes, and more. The patch also adds new DLC allowing players to change Geralt's hairstyle.

All released updates on the PC will be added to the Xbox 360 version, the developer confirmed.

According to CD Projekt, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings has sold 400,000 units since launching two weeks ago.

Described as a game that "outdoes everything in its class" in the Shacknews review, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was developed by CD Projekt RED and released on May 17 for the PC.

If it's the same on 360 I would HIGHLY recommend anyone that hasn't played this on the PC pick this up for the 360. Best RPG in some time.

I'm hoping there's an expansion for the PC down the road. I just didn't want it to be over.

Sounds like the recommended settings are too high for me. I will have to wait for the 360 version. I really dislike RPG's on Consoles for some reason. Not sure why.

im using the 360 controller when i play The Witcher 2...trust me the quick time event and the sometimes button mashing you will want to play with a controller...

CD projekt has said that all DLC will be free so i dont know how this will work in the console version though...

The mouse and keyboard were fine. Was a little challenging at first but by mid game I felt in complete control.

Are the controls drastically different than the first Witcher?

I've heard they're much better. I never played the first though.
