I agree about Uncharted but the landscape, action sequences, and story make it a good game to me. The gun play is the most bs part about it though. Didn't finish either game. And overall it is pretty overrated.

Aside from that, any COD game, Homefront, Crysis 2, and ME for me. Love RPG's but ME was not my type of game. Not too into sci-fi. Which is why Halo is used to keep my table from being lopsided, and not ever put into the console.

I agree about Call of Duty and Crysis , but was Homefront really that hyped up ? Most people talk about the disappointing campaign.


I love L.A. Noire, Red Dead, and the Halo series.

L.A. Noire was awesome, except right after the Homicide Desk.

Red Dead is just a beautiful game that's a lot of fun..

Halo hits close to home with me. When me and my buddys get together and game, it involves GH, Rock Band, and NCAA Football, but %90 of the time it involves some Halo.. dating all the way back to the days of my freshman year when we sat in our Business class playing Halo 2. Reach is a little over rated and so was Halo 3, but Halo 1 and 2 were awesome.

Uncharted has awesome graphics and a great story, but the shooting mechanics leave something to be desired. I know it's 3rd person, but it doesn't feel the least bit rewarding when you kill someone. It becomes more of a chore.

Anything call of Duty to me in the last few iterations is garbage.

GTAIV like most GTA games hooked me then at some point midway rapidly became boring and then I realized I've played this game 5 times already.

Halo 3 and forward. Single Player boring, online worse.

God of War. Never ever understood why this game is so big. I really tried to get into it but felt like I was forcing myself to play it.

Fable every version. It's like a cartoon to me. Just not enough RPG elements for my taste. Farting in the middle of town square for peoples approval only is fun in real life.

Special mention

The Wii. I've sold mine, but for the life of me I don't understand why that system was so big. Complete waste of money IMO.

I'd like to update it with LA Noire. It has the shelf life of Rockstar Table Tennis.

I GF'd it thankfully and simply don't want to finish it, I'm bored out of my mind.

LA Noire is not an open world/sandbox game.

Agreed. I had to explain this to my wife b/c she pimped it on me by saying "if you like GTA...". Solved a couple cases and gave it back.

I would say Black Ops story mode was terrible. I enjoy the online at times but the campaign was hard for me to get through. I did enjoy Medal of Honor's campaign much more.

I would agree with you on Black Ops story mode. reading your post reminded me I never even tried the Medal of Honor story mode. One of those games I pick up and never really got started. May double back and give it a shot.

Resident Evil 5...IMO this game is a giant snooze fest, and completely unrelated to the rest of the series, heck, even Resident Evil 4 felt more like a RE game than this one.

Gears of War 2 - i only played the SP part of the game, so that's probably why i feel this game is overrated.

Alan Wake - BOOOOOOOOOORING

Fallout 3 - just couldn't get into it.

I agree totally on Black Ops campaign. I was forcing myself to play it. I actually just purchased Medal of Honor for $20 b/c I read so many good things about the campaign and the sound design. I think it'll be right up my alley. I'm looking for something between Operation Flashpoint: Red River and the CODs. It seems like MoH might be it..
