What's The Most Overrated Non Sports Xbox 360/Ps3 Games U Played?

Definately Metal Gear Solid 4. I cannot fathom for the life of me figure out what is so good about this game.

The cutscenes, that move at a snail's pace, are like half the game (and not done very well, certainly not to the level of Uncharted) and whenever you finally get to the action the controls are clunky and the AI is decidedly average.

It was also the 1st time I had played the MGS series and I was shocked at how underwhelming it was in almost every way. It's a self indulgent mess of a game. I can't imagine how bored a person must be to play this one all the way thru. People say you have to play the 1st 3 to enjoy this one. Nothing could help me enjoy this one. If I wanted to watch a movie I would pop in a Bluray not suffer thru a cheezy video game movie. If the other 3 games were anything like this then I would rather burn ants with a magnifying glass. And I must not be the only one who feels this way because there were a gazillion used copies at Gamespot a month after it came out.

Red Dead Redemption - If I hadn't played Grand theft auto since playstation then I would have enjoyed this more. Only so many times you can play these games before they just get old.

The Halo series. Every time I have ever played or watched those games I have found them dull and unremarkable.

aside from halo 1 I agree. I never got into assassins creed either, though bioshock was overated too. I wouldn't say GTA4 other than the genre isn't translating well as time goes on. Kind of similar to AC in the sense that you've got these beatiful worlds where you can go anywhere and they're detailed, but you can't do anything. You can't talk to people and choose what you say, there's no real economy, most interiors are locked off etc.

People saying Mass Effect I don't get, it's introduced something new, it's like a choose your own adventure novel in videogame form. Love ME series.

I wanted it so bad, but had to wait for Christmas & now I rarely play it. I was always a fan of the older GT games, but GT5 bores me.

Shenmue...I am a huge Dreamcast fanboy (still my favorite system I've ever owned), but I just could never get into this one. I just didn't get where all the love came from - it was flat-out boring to me. Walk around for 45 minutes, talk to random people (with really creepy faces and voices) with nothing useful to say for another half-hour, get involved in 1 semi-interesting "action" event every 3-4 hrs, maybe 1-2 fights in an entire day's worth of play (if you're lucky)...I tried to force myself to like that game for a long time, but at some point I just stepped back and thought, "Why the hell am I doing this to myself? This game sucks." Never picked it up again (or even wanted to).

I think CoD is highly over rated and is no different than buying a Madden game every year. I get it to beat the absurd campaign on veteran, and have no interest in playing it any further than that.

I regret giving my $60 to help make Black Ops the best selling CoD game ever.
