How can you say that without playing it? I understand the rest of them because of the reasons you gave but come on man....

Because it's like...1980's design that they got rid of for a good reason. No check points and gotta start the whole thing over? Screw that mess. I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy it which is why I didn't bother trying it.

But you really do have to play the other games, that made MGS 4 that good. It brings the story along and brings back some characters. If you are just jumping into it without any knowledge of the prior games, then of course you aren't gonna like the game.

The game is garbage. It doesn't matter what recurring characters it had, the structure of the game is horrible. I like Super Mario as a character but I have no desire to watch dull cutscenes of him every 10 minutes when I play Galaxy.

You play 10 minutes of actual action (which is painfully generic) and wait around for cutscenes that sometimes last over 30 minutes (could have been longer since I played it so long ago) that brought the game to a complete halt.

I'm not a fan of the GTA series but I can see the merits of it and why people like it. MGS4 was so mind numbingly dull in almost every way that I thought the developer was playing a practical joke on gamers to see how gullible they are because it had the MGS label. I don't know how anybody could find enjoyment with it.

Then the critics give it perfect 10's and I just wanted to smoke the same drugs they were on because it must have been really good stuff. Maybe the first 3 games were good but MGS 4 is seriously bad.

I'll have to go with the halo series. I really dont like the alien enemy designs at all. Especially those little goofy things. I wanted more visceral wicked aliens across the board. Better designed enemies probably would've held my attention longer.

All of the MOH/COD games. I cant stand the on rails universal studio roller coaster ride campaigns, or the the ringling brothers areas where enemies just jump out of ****ing clown warps.

I'm more into fully customizable and open ended military simulators. Armed Assualt 2 and operation arrow head expansion type of ****. NOT and I repeat NOT that stripped down operation flashpoint crap on the consoles. They could've kept that garbage.

But I do agree with people on MSG4 & FFXIII. MSG4 was too much story & not enough gameplay. FFXIII felt unfinished. Tried to stray away from what makes FF a FF game.

Orange Box - Never saw the big deal about HL.

Bioshock - System Shock 2 and Deus Ex did the same stuff better. Just under water here.

Red Dead Redemption - Glitchy as all heck and a poor/unintelligent main character.

COD series - These games last like 4-5 hours. Not really worthy of the high praise. It is a good 4-5 hours but still,overrated. Didn't even like 2 or 3.

Gears of War - Never got into it.

Street Fighter IV - Not bad just overrated. Blazblue is better.

Fallout 3 - Sure it's great on the PC after 177 mods but not so much on the console.

Any Halo - 4-5 hours again. Only liked ODST.

Super Meat Boy - Really just feels like a mess.

Dead Space - If you've never seen a horror movie before then maybe you'd like this. If you have it's overly predictable and unenjoyable.

Rainbow Six - Game over because of my dumb teammate AI? No thanks.

Left 4 Dead - Even dumber teammate AI than Rainbow Six.

Resident Evil 5 - Did enjoy the Jill parts and it is responsible for 2 of the 177 Fallout 3 mods so it's not all bad.

Guitar Hero III - This is oft praised as the best one but 95% of it on hard or expert is an overcharted unenjoyable mess.

Far Cry 2 - A far cry from being good or glitch free.

Darksiders - Boring and tedious.

Just Cause 2 - Terrible gun play,AI locking on from 3 floors up and being able to shoot through stairs.

Final Fantasy XIII -

Uncharted - Get behind cover,shoot,run from grenade,AI walks right up to you,shoot in head...repeat for 8-12 hours x2.

Little Big Planet - Meh. People have done neat things but there's still not a lot to the actual gameplay.

Demon Souls - I haven't actually played it but it just sounds poorly designed with "being difficult" as an excuse to cover it up.

Resistance 2 - Wasn't anything special.

I'm surprised this list wasn't longer.

Anything call of Duty to me in the last few iterations is garbage.

GTAIV like most GTA games hooked me then at some point midway rapidly became boring and then I realized I've played this game 5 times already.

Halo 3 and forward. Single Player boring, online worse.

God of War. Never ever understood why this game is so big. I really tried to get into it but felt like I was forcing myself to play it.

Fable every version. It's like a cartoon to me. Just not enough RPG elements for my taste. Farting in the middle of town square for peoples approval only is fun in real life.

Special mention

The Wii. I've sold mine, but for the life of me I don't understand why that system was so big. Complete waste of money IMO.

GTAIV: Beautiful game and I enjoyed riding around NYC but I could never get into the game. I didn't like the controls and the storyline didn't interest me enough to finish it.

Fallout: New Vegas: FO3 is one of my favorite games of all time so I was really excited to pick this up, but I stopped playing after a week. Just too many bugs/glitches to spend hours on this game. I can't believe a game was released with so many issues.
