Sway better be there, otherwise it will be CoD2 all over again with snipers dominating the game.

I believe that was the Reference he used, Cod 2. This is the video, I didn't really want to post it.. as it is a long Full review comparing MW3, to BF3... and he doesn't start talking about the Sniping until about Halfway through the vid. (ok 11:00 in is when the Sniping discussion starts)

Now for all intents and purposes, he could be really over exaggerating. Maybe he ran into some really skillful Snipers and had some bad experiences.. Most of the people that get the game this early are really dedicated COD players. However IW does have a track record of making Sniper friendly games.

What does Origin have to do with Modern Warfare 3?

Origin was the reason why I didn't get BF3 for the PC, so I'm going to grab MW3 at launch instead of BF3. Origin doesn't have anything to do with MW3, but it's the main reason I'm buying MW3... Based off what I've seen so far, I'm looking forward to Tuesday.

Ok so I started searching around for any Sniper gameplays, to try and justify my worries about Snipers in Mw3... and after watching this I think I can say I'm definitely concerned now.

Dude is pulling off multiple Triples, with the Barrett like it's nothing. The clip where he's flashed and get's all of those dudes, plus two when he comes out is just ridiculous. I don't remember the Intervention, or Barrett being that Powerful in MW2, and supposedly the AS50 is even better in this game. If there is any Sway on the Snipers in this game, I certainly did not see it.

WTF? Definately looks like Call of Duty 2 in the sense of the hit boxes. In CoD2 the hit boxes were VERY forgiving. You could be off the mark and still get the kill, and from some of the shots this guy made in the video, the hit boxes look out of whack.

I'm still super excited for this game though! We'll see what happens on Tuesday!

I mean I'm still going to follow through with my pre-order but I came away watching that video saying "Lul if sniping is anything like this in MW3.. it's broken".

There's no way Running around with a Sniper should be a more viable mid to close range weapon than an SMG, or even an Assault Rifle. Seems like you don't even need a head, or upper chest shot for a 1 hit kill.

I'm really hoping that Gameplay was staged, or from an early build from COD Xp or something because if not every 12 year old on this game is going to be doing YY Ladder Stalls, and 180 Temper Shots. You're going to go into Ground War lobbies where everyone is running around with a Sniper.

The snipers probably won't be that bad. If you have a good shot, you can take them down easily. I've played a lot of Call of Duty so I'm pretty skilled with the guns and the snipers (I'm guilty of quickscoping) and taking a sniper down isn't hard at all. Also 99% of snipers aren't good at all and they don't stand a chance unless they get lucky.

Hope so man, for as much as I hated on Black Ops. Sniping was one thing I thought they did extremely well. (well after the patches) The Sniper was used as a powerful long range tool, in which you needed to be accurate and line up your shots.. Because Sleight of Hand Pro did not effect how quick you bring up your Scope. However you could even pull off Quickscopes if you were a very talented Sniper.

I can't really comment on snipers. I've only encountered a few in like 8 hours of gameplay. The only death from a sniper I can remember was a legit hard scope.

Well MW3 has hot fixes, so if anything is wrong with the sniper rifles, they have the ability to fix it without having to go through the tedious certification process.

Robert Bowling has said numerous times they are going to fully support this game like Treyarch did with Black Ops.

Only time will tell.

I don't believe a single word that comes out of Bowling's mouth.

Interesting so does it feel like every gun has built in Stopping Power? Or is it more of a case where the player health seems lower? In some videos I noticed the players screen goes really Red, really fast when coming under some fire.

I'd say its the guns. Because on the flipside explosives do feel quite a bit weaker than previous games.

I have a feeling that Quickscoping will not be addressed no matter how op it is. They wouldn't use Quickscoping as a selling point if they were goin to patch it later.

Also my friends and I were drinking some beers and talking about this game last night and we got into a conversation about Knifing and Quickscoping. My one friend fully supports it while my other 2 friends and I are against it. Well then we got into knifing and we were talking about how bad it is getting instant kills with it and I said CoD slogan should be, "CoD, only time bringing a Knife to a gun fight works." Lol.

Anyways I hope the snipers don't ruin it like it did in MW1.
