Did they say when they're patching it? In the level rosewood, if you put on a disguise (some have hockey mask, and some have gas mask) you dont even put on the masks. I ended up just making a run for the fuses on purists. There was like 5-8 people in each room with the fuses and instinct burns way too quick.

Are guys satisfied with the number of "hit" missions there are? The main complaint I'm seeing is that there are too many "get from point-A to point-B" missions and not enough open missions.

I have only played up to act II (just starting act II as I am at the gun range). Thus far it has been a mixed bag in that regard. I am enjoying the game immensely though. It is far from a dissapointment.

Also the contracts mode will keep you busy for dozens and dozens of hours if you want to just do pure Hitman assignments. Plus you can create your own contracts, compete worldwide, vs friends etc. So the Contracts mode IMO makes the game highly robust.

I can also tell you if your a Hitman fan (like me) you will replay the game to complete the numerous challenges, try to get Slient Assassian on all levels, try to just get thorugh the game in your signature suit with no disguises etc.

        There is plenty to do.

Thanks, man. I am a Hitman fan, so I really wanted to pick this up. However, the mixed reviews gave me pause. As soon as I catch a sale, I will buy it and have fun.

            no. not at all.
its still a fun game to play, but its really not at all like the previous hitman games.
If you have ever played the game manhunt a while back. This hitman game reminds me of that moreso than previous hitman games.

I can't disagree about it being very different from previous Hitman games. But I feel it stands up very well as a great video game in of itself. I had no expectations to be honest.

I picked it up on Friday, I have to tell you there are a lot of those missions as you progress. I agree that it is somewhat fun to play, but it is definitely not the Hitman I have grown accustom to.

This game has more of a Bourne Identity feel to the game.

Edit: To make it more clear, the levels are broken into sections. One section of the level tells you to sneak to the door or elevator. That's your entire objective, and they can be very linear. Completing that section loads the next section where you will assassinate your target.

I saw it on my phone so don't have a link, but I saw that they are going to have some future Hitman games made by another dev....Similar to COD, because IO can't churn out games fast enough.

Hopefully will get us more Hitman faster!

Hm, wonder how they plan on fixing the disguises. I thought since release that the ai line of sight is ridiculous. Sometimes a guy isnt even looking in your direction but you get the meter going that he sees you. I wasnt a huge hitman fan like some of you, but enjoyed the games but ive been having good fun with this one.

Do you think they could just add a setting like traditional or absolution where if you picked traditional they just dont see through disguises? I dont really know how patches / rewriting the coding (?) works. :O

I've yet to play it, but I'd hope/think that more delivered games in the Hitman universe would result in stuff that's enjoyable. Absolution may not be exactly what everyone wanted, but overall sounds fun.

It is a lot of fun indeed. It is not like Blood Money in the least bit but for me I went in with low expectations and I have come away having a great time. If your going to compare it to Blood Money and Slient Assassian for the freedom aspect etc then your not going to come away impressed. But for me it is a really cool game with good replayability. And control wise it is tight. I love the new controls big time.

That's another thing. You can't even get Silent Assassin on all levels. It's not even available for some.

Just remembered another problem. When the cops fire no matter how many civilians are between you and them they never hit the civilians only you. Some how their shots magically passed by/through every single one of them.
