Anyways, I bought this last week and finally opened it up a few hours ago. Played the prologue and Chinatown levels so far and love it. I think most of the complaints about the game are after those levels though so I guess we'll see what happens.

I just played through the courtroom level last night and, look, I know IO interactive is Dutch, but couldn't they have at least pretended to do some research before making the game? At least watch an episode of Law & Order for ****'s sake.

I know it's kind of a short, throwaway sequence, but it's just the latest example of a general lack of effort on their part.

wow. i'm very surprised i didn't like this one. i just traded it in for Far Cry 3. i'm a huge splinter cell fan so i thought i might like this one (i've never played the prior hitman games). something about the controls and the very linear nature just rubbed me wrong. i guess i had different expectations. the contacts mode seemed cool, but the campaign fun factor just wasn't there for me. hope you guys are enjoying it more..

I had my first play through save get corrupted!!!

I have to start over from scratch. Good grief.

But on the bright side, I will be able to do far better on all the levels since I would have done a lot of things differently vs my initial play through. I was at the point where I was going after the second scientist in the weapons plant.

It's a bug. It's been happening to people on other forums, as well. A patch is supposed to be coming soon.

We’ve been working hard to fix crash issues in Hitman: Absolution, and we’re looking to release a patch for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the week beginning December 10. We can’t confirm the exact date as we still need to go through internal testing, and then submission to Microsoft and Sony, but if there are no other issues that’s when we’re aiming for.

In terms of what this fixes, we’ve pinpointed a number of things which were causing the random game crashes – which, in turn, were causing saved games to corrupt. We’ve worked through all of the reported crash issues and are happy to say we’ve fixed all of them. We’ll publish a fuller patch list in due course.

Once the patch is released we will of course continue to monitor your feedback so keep in touch and should you experience anything post-patch (crashes, corrupted saves or similar), let us know immediately and we’ll respond and investigate. As we’ve fixed everything we have seen reported, we anticipate this to be very rare (if at all).

not sure if i should wait for the patch or not.
Does it fix the disguise issue??

Even if it does, the pure boredom and lack of things to do in each level makes this game a dud for me.

For a week a got into contracts mode, but im already sick of that.

Most likely Im gonna trade this game in this week while i can still get some good amount of trade in value.

Here's to hoping the HD collection comes out for ps3 sooner rather than later.

Finally beat the game, best Hitman game in a while. The ending was just awesome.......Second half of the game is way better then the 1st half. Better layout, more routes, more options and way better weapons.

Will wait for the big price drop and snag it on the cheap.

I am on hold with Absolution till the patch drops to correct the corrupt save file issue. I was really pissed off losing my game and all my unlocks, challenges, etc. I am back at the Library and holding off till this thing is fixed.

Meantime Mass Effect is AWESOME!!!
