I picked this up myself, but haven't had time to play with family visiting. I'm looking forward to firing it up this weekend.

Re: Hitman: Absolution
Thinking of picking this up with some left over Christmas money. I've never played a game in the series before but this game looks really great. I love stealthy games and all the videos I've seen on it looks amazing.
My question is though, how long is the campaign approximately? And also how much replay value does this game really have? I'm not sure if I want to buy it or just rent it for a week or two.Comment

I think you can play through this at least 2-3 times and take different approaches to your hits as well as complete all the challenges within each board. With Contracts mode you have a lot of replay value doing tons of different hits.
I was about 10 hours into the main story before it became corrupted. I believe it is a 20 hour play through on average. It all depends on if you take a really patient stealthy approach or rambo through the game.
If you have never played a Hitman game before......patience and lot's of trial and error is ahead of you.Now Playing on PS5:

I think I will go ahead and buy it either later today or tomorrow, it's only like 39 bucks right now anyhow so even if I only play through it once it will be worth it.Comment

Re: Hitman: Absolution
Decent rental.
As someone else said previously, part 2 is definitely better than part one.
That said, the game became boring to me after a while. There's only so much sneaking around and hiding bodies that one can do without those tasks becoming repetitive.
Eventually I started just going Rambo through the later stages. The game doesn't really penalize you for not being stealthy.Comment

Re: Hitman: Absolution
The game is better than I thought given the complaints, but we'll see if that holds up as I play through.
SpoilerI'm a fairly creative guy but I'm having problems getting in tune with the game OR I'm just not a psychopathic killerFor example in the king of chinatown level there is a gas can you can pick up, but the only way I can think to use it is to set it up near the target and snipe it... There's got to be a better way
Also when the guy is looking down that hole, I shot him down just like in the sniper challenge elevator shaft but the cop next to him noticed and I don't see how he wouldn't...
I poisoned the drugs near the garbage and killed him that way, but why does it only kill him?, does doing the drugs in the apartment kill both?
I want to really "get it" early before I progress too far, I'm kind of doing like 5 or 6 playthroughs AS I'm going since I want to do at least 3 different kills before moving on..Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Hitman: Absolution
Maybe I'm not quite understanding after finally playing this a bit, but why is everyone saying diguises are "broken"? They seem to work exactly as described in the tutorial; whoever ever you are disguised as will notice you are suspicious, while other groups will ignore you. That seems to make sense... other cops will notice that they don't recognize me if I'm dressed as one of them, while non-cops will just think I'm a cop.
"Broken", to me, implies that an aspect of the game doesn't work as explained, but to me, disguises appear to work exactly as advertised by the game's initial walkthrough.Comment

Kinda makes sense to me how he describes it above. Take me at work. I'm a developer, so someone disguised as a "Designer" I'd be willing to accept it may be someone new or who I don't know. However, someone pretending to be a Developer I'd know right away that they weren't one....Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Hitman: Absolution
I think people are assuming that you suppose to be able to walk around with no care in the world ALL DAY with a disguise on, which I think that is how it use to be in the earlier Hitman games. To me, the disguises work FINE.Comment

Re: Hitman: Absolution
the way the game was made bothered me, and thats why i already returned it. the levels were horribly done. there is no replay value whatsoever.
when you can make a hit on a target, its lame and nothing like the first 4 games.Comment
