Re: Darksiders II
About 14 hours in and still loving it. The story is also starting to pick up and get more interesting. Honestly, from what I played this is right up there with Mass Effect 3 and The Witcher 2 as my GOTY.
Not sure why more people on here aren't giving this game a look, missing out a must play type of game IMO. Looks like the Sleeping Dogs thread is much more active. Really hope this game sells well, would suck if a promising franchise ended prematurely.Last edited by mgoblue678; 08-18-2012, 09:12 PM.My Teams

Re: Darksiders II
Based upon the amount of ppl having fun, I took a chance and ordered the game (even though I am paying for guild wars 2 on wed). I hope I either don't have a ton of problems or they patch it real soon.DON'T PANICComment

My only beef with the platforming: The death grasp can be finicky some times on when it wants to activate.Comment

Re: Darksiders II
I didnt like the ending to this one. The twist was pretty corny and the kinda sorta spoiler in the ending was meh to me. Darksiders 1 left me in goosebumps when it ended.Comment

Re: Darksiders II
I really like the pace of the game. War was so slow that, for me, combat felt like a chore and dungeons seemed to take forever. Love the pacing and the voice of death is so awesome...especially the sarcasm.DON'T PANICComment

I have a G13 keyboard that has a thumbstick on it that registered as a joystick. I had to disable that when playing DS1 otherwise the camera would just spin around.XBL: Countach

Good read:
The Crafting of an Apocalypse
Key members of Darksiders and its recently released sequel look back at the highs and lows of this generation's surprising cult classic. Plus, watch footage from the first version of the game.

Re: Darksiders II
Pacing of the second realm was great and the last dungeon was probably the best yet - then you go from that, to the segment early during the third realm.
Unless something drastically changes, I'm pretty confident in saying I enjoyed the story and scenarios surrounding War much more.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Darksiders II
He is by Serpents Peak. Look for a side path, that leads to a dead end in that area. I'm sure you know this, but you also can go back to the first realm at any time as well.
I am still in the second realm (Kingdom of Dead). I am taking my time, doing every side-quest, finding all the collectibles and going through every dungeon. I am already past the 20 hour mark, so I figure to complete the game 100% it will take me over the 30 hour mark. Plan on giving the Crucible a try after that.
Still enjoying the game just as much as before. Only complaints I have are that the story so far isn't quite as good as Darksiders 1 and the puzzles have been a tad too easy for liking. As a whole, I am enjoying it quite a bit more than Darksiders 1, mainly because the combat is vastly superior to the first game (at least on Apocalyptic) and addition of loot adds a layer that the first one didn't have . I could see how somebody may prefer the more focused style of the first game. However, I still think this is the superior game in most areas, with the lone exceptions being the story and maybe puzzle design so far. I have heard the next section after realm 2 is probably the worst part of the game (involves way too much shooting apparently). Hopefully it is on the short side, if that is the case.
Also I have only ran into one glitch so far, and it was minor One of the legendary weapons I received from the Tome it gave me two copies of the weapon instead of just a single item. Not complaining since the glitch actually benefited me when I sold the extra copy. Maybe I have gotten lucky in that department, but my experience has been basically bug/glitch free.Last edited by mgoblue678; 08-22-2012, 07:43 AM.My Teams
