Interesting strategy, never thought about just mowing everybody down with the gun boat.

I did think about taking my flamethrower and burning down the whole place just to see if that would work...hmmm (5pm cant get here fast enough)
Rather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..

You must LOAD a save...not CONTINUE to get your manual save. Continuing story gives you the autosave.
So when I start FC3... I select Story and when the next screen comes up I select Continue Story/Game... That will take me right to where I left off?

You get xp bonuses for no alarm raised and another for not being spotted. I think its 550 and like 1500 for 1 or 2. (on outposts)

I've been using the camera to mark all the enemies, silenced snipe an animal cage and then let the chaos begin. I'll shoot gas barrels if they're around and then pretty much just cat and mouse the camp with the bow. I leveled up stuff lile the jungle walk, bow speed, etc. stuff to help my stealth cause.

Tip: dont worry about buying weapons. They unlock with radio towers and they're free once you pick them up off pirates. The only weapon i initially bought was the bow and now they're all unlocked.

Is there two islands? I did all the outposts in mu surrounding area and when i try to go southwest it tells me im leaving the area.

No....I think that gives you the autosave.
You have to choose load..and then load SAVE1
          (this is PC)

I used the gunboat because I had no ammo left and it was just sitting there.
I figured..."that's probably a good way to get around!"....

For me that doesn't seem to be working. I loaded my auto save and I keep going back to where I have to take the first radio tower. So I've been manualy saving, but even then I got killed and it sent me 20 minutes back, knowing I had finished a challenge but I had to do it all over again. So you have to manually save your manual saves but if you complete a mission it auto saves over that one auto file. I just quit at that point. Frustrating. It's like having two seperate games going.

Weird... Cuz when I click Continue Story... It takes me to the Gun Safe House in Amanaki and where I am in the Story (At the Mission I have to complete is going to see Dr. Earnhardt)

              I haven't touched my autosave.

There is nothing more satisfying than heading to an Outpost and seeing either a tiger or bear locked up in a cage from a distance. I'll take out my sniper rifle, shoot the cage door open and sit back and watch the hilarity ensue.

                ...

Also, some of the rambling AI dialog is pretty hilarious when you sneak up on them: "Man, it stings when I piss! Should've worn a condom."

I'm in that exact same spot. I'm just completing challenges and hunting too but I wished it would autosave after I clear a challenge. I'll have to try when I get home and see what I'm missing.

I did this last night... I skinned 2 deer to get a different holster... I killed some baddies along the way, looted their bodies and then went back to the Safe House, sold stuff I didn't need and it Autosaved for me.

                      Re: Far Cry 3

I spent around 2 hours last night just hunting relics,MAN some of those can be tough to find even when they have been show on the map.

I bought the maps that show the relics, letters and loot....but even then, some of that stuff can be difficult to find,as there are soooo many spots that are not easily visible.

Also played MP,and had a fun time...it's really difficult to roll with a specific weapon though as the AK is good,as well as the STG...decisions,decisions..lol

I finished first last night, and after the match I was treated by the other team humiliating me...I could do nothing more than laugh,as it was pretty cool.

This is definitely GOTY for me...and dare I say? Game of this gen for me also...don't get me wrong, there have been some awesome games released, but NONE with the power to draw me in to the point to where I actually feel apart of the world, throw in the unpredictability....and MAN unbelievable experience.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

I play this game as a sort of survival mode.

No buying new weapons...no using syringes for perks.

...and I only heal when I get to a safe location(or at least out of LOS) and never in the middle of a battle.

Man is it hard to play like this...REALLY makes you pick your spots.
(unless of course you steal a GB and wreak havoc that way!(but it's pretty safe on the GB ...so it's not a big threat to do so)

So it doesn't have to have a "smoke signal" coming from it to count as a camp? I have cleared out a couple of really big compounds (for lack of a better word) and gone over them with a fine tooth comb looking for more soldiers and never got a fast travel option for either. One was attached to a cave and was filled with massive amounts of cocaine. I guess this could be for a mission later. It kinda looked like the beginning area of the game too.

There is a camp just around the bend from this.
