Far Cry 3

The bow is my main weapon. Love taking out the camps with it. Especially since I can just re-equip the arrows I've shot.

The bow is my favorite weapon, because it's silent! But how do you re-equip the arrows youve shot? Because I tried but could not.

You just have to run over them. Any of them on the ground or in people/animals/trees will be added back to your inventory. The only problem is finding some of the errant shots for the most part. That was the main reason I start using it since I got tired of running out of ammo.

Yeah, I love that fact...I use the bow a lot in up close stealth, the one shot kill is so useful (moreso than silenced pistol or assault rifle).

The silenced sniper is still better at range, but the bow is awesome. I can't wait until I get the additional arrows in my quiver, then that'll make the bow even better.

Some of the hunting missions require you to use a bow, do you keep it after that?

All pirates I've seen have AK-47's or snipers...maybe a shotgun here or there but not too often.

In the 3(or 4?) hunting missions I've done....they've all given me the shotgun to use.
I guess I gotta find more hunting missions.
(oh and picking up the arrows after kills.....is perfect for me...thanks!)

This is a great game but it's missing one thing, surviving the elements. I wish this game would have taken into account not only surviving bad guys and animals but also surviving the environment and weather. In the jungle you can die from hunger, poison ivy, disease, getting sick from being in rainy wet conditions etc. They should have added this element in the game, it would have made it way more realistic and challenging.

Yeah, eventually you'll find the ones that you go bow hunting, so that should hook you up. That'll really help your hunting too I bet, since you can keep reclaiming ammo there.

Which site are you using on the bow?
I use the red dot site and don't really have much problem.

From what I have gathered...there IS "bullet drop" on the bows,but not guns (go figure)...so try to aim a bit higher as well.

Distance will also figure in...if you're to far,you will see what you're currently seeing (short shots)...to try it out,stay as the same distance and aim a bit higher to compensate for the drop.

I've been using the Marksmen site but I'm gonna switch to the Red Dot site... I can't seem to get close enough to my target, when I try to they always run away... Should I be using the Hunting Syringe to get close?

I also found a video on Youtube about someone finding a Shooting Range so I'm going to try and find that to get some practice.

I use Red Dot, and while I have trouble at long distances I'm good at most realistic ones...I need to find that shooting gallery and figure out some visuals so I know how much to compensate for distance.

yea,I would definitely swap out the marksman site for the red dot sight.
As far as getting close to your target....the best way I've found is so crouch and sneak up on them...sometimes they do run (depending on what I'm hunting) but I've found they never run too far,and you can always still crouch and sneak.

The only syringes I have used so far,is health and the deep dive one (when searching for relics in the ocean) I believe I used the one where you do more damage,but I didn't really care for it,and never used it again.

love everything about this game the only thing i wish that could have been put into the game is when u take over a outpost it can get attacked again and retaken from u, that would be sick.
