Picking this up today. Rented it from Redbox and I really enjoyed it.

Is it too hard? I like that medium/regular isn't crazy intense, but it can feel easy with the enemies sometimes.

At the same time the animals can be brutal if they catch you not paying attention....so I imagine that's way worse on hard....

I'll probably stick where I am and just enjoy the somewhat easier times...I don't have time to replay stuff forever.

Its hard as hell at first but you get used to it. After playing on warrior, i cant imagine playing on normal. Would have been too easy.

I'm currently playing on normal as well. I believe I'm going to replay the game on warrior next time around, and pick and choose which pouches I upgrade.

I figure that way it will be a little more difficult in how I choose my battles.

It's enjoyable. I'm not usually the one to play at the hardest difficulty because I rather just enjoy the story without replaying the same thing over and over but in Far Cry 3, it doesn't feel hellish to me. I've died a few times because I tried some ideas to spice up a battle but it doesn't feel "cheap"

just loving the different ways of taking over the encampments. I unlocked the RPG yesterday along with the silenced sniper rifle.. decided to try a new method from the normal rock throwing, silence alarm, knife dudes method. I quietly came up on a camp with about 8 bad guys.. and a trapped bear. Sniped the bear cage, dudes freak out, bear goes on rampage. Dudes pile up close to each other trying to shoot the bear.. Long range RPG to pile of dudes = camp taken.

I wish there was a mod to remove the abandoned vehicles from the game.
I know....just ignore them...but I don't fast travel and it's SO tempting sometimes to just jump in a jeep or boat.
If they had it where they were parked and had enemies around(like it was their vehicle)...I would like it a bit more.

Like the previous poster....I had to devise a new strategy last night.
I was surrounded at an encampment....and was down to just 3 bullets.
There was a tiger at one of the entrances....so I started walking up to him until he started after me.....I ran through the camp and jumped into the water.
Tiger takes out quite a few of them...and in the confusion, I can sneak in and get the alarm....then proceed to take out the rest.

It's the open ended aspect of this game that makes it very appealing, I think.

I like how separate the game parts are. The story is one thing, and the hunting, outposts, etc are all another group.

Usually games walk you through the single player and you're forced to do 90% of things (or at least introduced to it). Here it's all your choice. I enjoyed doing a few of the missions 2 nights ago, and tonight I hope to get a few more outposts or relics...

yep,I do the same thing. As strange as it may sound,I don't want the adventure to end,so I'm prolonging it as much as possible.

I will do a mission or 2,and the rest of my time will be spent on relic, loot or letter hunting. I still have a bunch of outposts to capture, but again,I don't want to eliminate all the enemies in a particular area.

I have been playing a good deal of MP as well, playing Battleground (all modes in one) has been an absolute blast...unlocked the Vector last night, and DAMN...that gun is a hip firing machine...fun times, and awesome game.

Had to take a break from the game. Did all the outposts, hunting missions and towers of first island. Just finished the Buck part. Can anyone tell me how close i am to island 2 ?

What do you mean remove the abandoned vehicles? Like only have vehicles with people in them? I love that there are vehicles i can just snatch up and start traveling. Especially since i rarely fast travel.

I agree with the open endedness of it all being a huge appeal. Every time I replay a mission or an Outpost especially, the outcome is almost never the same.
Taking over an outpost definitely lets me get my Rambo/Bronson/Norris on!

Yes...remove vehicles that are just sitting by the road unattended.
There are too many and I'm trying to make it more difficult in the game in general, as it's pretty easy even on the most difficult settings IMO.
I figured that if you had those vehicles parked.....there would be enemies around...you would have to fight them and alert other nearby enemies....or at least have to sneak your way into the vehicle.
Anything to make it a little more interesting.

I'm going to download the mods tonight that amp up the difficulty through removing the aids(the mini map ....etc)
