Awesome, I'm in the group now. My schedule is all over the place with work, school, and other things, but I'd love to get in on some action whenever I can. I've always wanted to be in a huge group with this game, but I'm not big on making an effort to make the friends to do so haha. Fortunately we have a good number of guys on here to make it happen.

        Alright man, added you!

Also, even if some of you guys wanna run small missions (2,3,4 players), there are tons of missions out there for small group or even two player.

You're using the controller? I don't know if I could do that, but that takes some skill my friend.

I thought about hooking up a controller for vehicles though.

Yeah...the options are limited. Did it with Arma2.

                  Re: ARMA III

The problem comes in when you have to use the AGM menu system. Since it uses the windows key for interaction with a person and Ctrl+windows key for interactions with yourself, I can't see a controller being able to be used.

There is just so many controls on ARMA that I can't see how a controller is usable.

For instance, lets look at a simple patrol sequence for me.

We all are in formation and moving across a field.

                  1) I double tap ctrl to lower my weapon
                  2) I hit X to go to a crouch position
                  3) I hit W+S to toggle walk
                  4) I hold W down to move forward
                  5) Then while holding W, I'm holding Alt to free look around for contacts
                  6) If contacts are seen, I double tap ctrl to bring weapon up
                  7) I hit C to shoulder weapon for faster weapon sighting
                  8) I untoggle walk with W+S
                  9) I find cover, then Lean out exposing as little of my body as possible with Q or S
                  10) I hold right mouse button to zoom my view looking for contacts
                  11) I right click to bring up sights and engage contacts
                  12) I hold K bringing up compass to determine a bearing on the enemy
                  13) Lastly, I hold caps lock and alert my team over the radio of the contacts compass bearings

Small small sequence but shows the amount of controls being used for the simplest of ARMA engagements. This did not even cover changing grenade types or smoke types. Throwing those devices, popping flares, zeroing your rifle or grenade launcher to a contacts range, stance adjustments such as the picture below. Most of this is not possible with a controller.

lol its not that bad. One thing I will say is this, you have to completely cut the controller off and force yourself to learn the Mouse & Keyboard. If you don't you will never be comfortable with it enough to default to it, you will always gravitate towards the controller because that is your comfort zone.

Once you put in the hard work of learning and forcing yourself to become comfortable with a keyboard controls you will then be able to transition to either controller or keyboard with no lose of comfort. I can turn on my PS4 and play Advance Warfare with the best of them or I can grab my mouse and keyboard and feel right at home.

You already have the controller down perfect so it will be nothing for you to take a month away from it and ONLY use a mouse keyboard. You pick up a controller a month later you will still be just as proficient with it as you were before. So don't waste precious learning time sticking only on something you are comfortable with. Expand your skill set.

I'm not saying it won't drive you nuts for a while, or be frustrating. It certainly will BUT you have to fight through it and once you do, it will pay of in the end when you can play anything with no fear of the control scheme.

My cousin is in the same boat, he is new to PC and can't put down his PC 360 controller. I told him I'm going to steal it from his house

Man remember we talked and I had the experience with Arma 2 which is why i was using both at the same time lol.

It was awful trying to run some missions but not knowing which key did what Can you imagine and you have a company of enemy tanks coming at you

I admit though that the number of options this game has is overwhelmingly amazing.
