You don't have to, but they will just take up hard drive space. Look through the list of whats in the packs and if its in the pack no reason to have it twice.

Another option guys can do is say screw the packs and just download all the mods individually. It just requires having 30+ mods checked when launching the game. Its not impossible just makes it little harder to keep everything organized of what you need.

Now ARMA3Synch utility has a solution for that if any one wants to go that route.

I've got 3 new scenario missions I've created. We need at least 5-6 people to complete them. What's everyone's ARMA availability this weekend?

            Re: ARMA III

So I've been thinking about this for awhile and I think I'm gonna pull the trigger. Need input from you guys.

As much as we play ARMA, and as much as we'd like to take it to the next level with the ALiVE War Room (i.e. run campaigns that "live on" after each session), I'm looking at purchasing a high speed private server rental for us to use exclusively for our group.

I can get a top flight server with all the bells and whistles for basically 50 bucks a month. Considering our core group of guys is roughly 6-8 guys..we're talking less than 10 dollars a month contributed by the members to pay for the server.

Would you guys be cool with that? I'd gladly pay 6-10 bucks a month to have a dedicated private server for us to run missions/campaigns on with great, steady FPS throughout.

            Thoughts?

Personally I think it would be far more beneficial to take the $50 a month and put that towards a server build. That is $600 in a single year, you can throw together a pretty decent server that would give out several years of service. Renting in my opinion is wasteful, considering the size of our core group the rig will not require a super server to handle the load being thrown at it.

Another option would be to run a virtual machine on your current rig and use it as the server. I think this would be the most logical option.

Iron Front is $12.48 on Steam right now. So for those of you who want to get your WW2 on, the time is now to buy it. Currently converting it to Arma 3 which is a pretty long process.

For those on the fence about this one...it's well worth 12 bucks.

I'm downloading the last piece now, AIA Core that apparently you need. Sad thing is you can only get it through PlayWithSix and PWS is SLOW as hell unless you pay for premium which I refuse to do. Been downloading for 2 hours and only at 61%. I so wish you didn't need PWS in order to convert it to Arma 3.

Man that's tempting... I've wanted this since you guys started talking about it. That would definitely get me back in to Arma.

Is there any campaign to it? My Internet is still too unstable to play anything multiplayer at the moment, Comcast is still "fixing" it. Also is it standalone or is it a Mod?
