Just got it for free haha. Harvest looks decent. Everything else looks okay, but the game didn't need anymore BTB maps.

Damn. I should've checked here before buying huh? Your right they need to add more small to medium sized maps for the slayer rotation.

Distribution Mistake Means Free Halo 4 Crimson Map Pack DLC

The offers available to the pre-purchasers of Halo 4's map pack DLCs were a little complicated, but the confusion has lead to a free map pack, as long as you grab it quickly enough.

Shortly before the release of Halo 4, Microsoft and 343 Industries announced a promotion that if you played the game within the first two weeks of release, you would receive a code that would give you early access to certain multiplayer specializations. Users who received that code discovered that if they redeemed it, they could download Halo 4's first map pack, the Crimson map pack, for free. This was not something that was supposed to happen, but Microsoft has embraced the mistake and is now encouraging gamers who participated in the, "14 Day, Buy and Play," promotion to grab the maps before Tuesday December 18.

I'm waiting for an update before I start playing again. Now that I have all of the upgrades and such, there is no incentive to level up. I know they're planning a competitive ranking system, so ill just try and wait on that.

I don't know about everyone else but why do people need a number beside them to continue to play a game they like?

Also the ranking system is only in Waypoint, not viewable through the Halo 4 in game menu.

But at least it will be there and I can brag to my friends about my rank.

To answer your question though: I enjoy it either way but I will always enjoy Halo more with a playlist by playlist 1-50 ranking system like H2/H3. It just simply adds another level of competitiveness and fun to the game. So yeah, I personally can't wait for the update.

Lol I understand that, it's nice when it's there but some of the people I talked to basically saying that they traded in the game and etc just because they can't rank up anymore irritate me.

Yeah I enjoy it a lot, only complaints I have are instant spawning, join in progress at the end of games and DMR range should be reduced a little.

Yeah, I'm aware. I don't mind.

A lot of people wonder this, but for me it's pretty simple: a ranking system is an incentive for team play and smart play. Not only that, but I'm a person who likes to spread my time between Halo and other video games, so I'm always going to be behind those who dedicate more time to Halo. I want there to be a rank that shows my skill and not the amount of time I'm able to put into the game. I understand it's not for everyone, but what is the harm in it? Just have a competitive playlist and a social playlist. Problem solved!

Aside from my aforementioned desire for rankings, these are my only problems with the game.

I popped this game in for the first time in well over a month and went 19-9 the first round. I've been playing nothing, but Battlefield 3.

You can really punish people for over reacting and running around like an idiot.

I felt like a complete troll, but the DMR, plasma pistol, plasma grenades, and a hologram will do some damage on some of the close quarters maps.

I used to hate the fact that this game felt so campy, but I've learned to embrace it and just go with it.

I still think some of the perks should be on the map, like they used to be. It's pretty stupid and annoying when an entire team of 4 or 5 is using active camo or jet packs.
