I almost never beat games anymore.

There are soo many games i have that its hard to stick with the same one every night. I don't have much time n my interests constantly change.

the last game i beat was Uncharted 1. Before that was Braid.

I will say that the last couple of years i've played alot of Street Fighter so that takes a lot of time from the other games.

I've completed the main portion of more games this year than I have in the previous five combined (and even then, not many: Mortal Kombat, Portal 2, Duke Nukem Forever).

Unless it's something like Red Dead's "level up five different times to 50", than yeah, I've played through a lot of games this gen, and usually only buy ones that I know I'll put the time into to finish. The problem I run into is in something like Oblivion, where I have to investigate every dungeon to see if I missed anything.

The only two games I've never finished, at least this gen, were GTA IV and Farcry 2. I got Farcry 2 cheap, but hated it right away. In fact, the article made me go through my games and check. 23 games completed so far.

I say my success rate for finishing games is about 75%. And by finishing I mean completing the main storyline. The only game I have ever completed all the achievements on is Oblivion.

i have finished 1 game in the last 4 years i think

COD WaW and thats because i wanted to unlock the zombie mode

i am about halfway through:

mass effect 1 and 2
red faction guerilla
gta 4
cod mw2 and 4, i have 23 days playtime of black ops but never touched the campaign
socom 4

and a couple others, i get bored or move on too quickly and spend too much time on sports titles

If the game is very good I will finish it....eventually.

I have a sports game addiction. So I end up playing years of franchise, dynasty etc etc. When I need a breather I will play my other games.

Sports games currently:

MLB The Show 2011 - Year 2 of my 1987 Yankees Chise year one of my 2011 Yankees Chise, AA minor league Angels SP RTTS year one.

NBA 2K11 - Year 3 Miami Heat Association

NCAA 12 - Year 3 Hurricanes Dynasty

NHL 11 - Florida Panthers Year One Be a GM Mode

Madden 12 - 8/30

Currently I have these non-sports games in progress:

Dead Space - almost done and it is my favorite non-sports game ever on any platform.

Borderlands - Level 39 and I am 75% done with the main campaign. I love this game

Dragon Age - I finished this game a few weeks ago and have DA2 in the que. I actually want to go back and do even more of the side quests and create a new character for a second play through. I also want to eventually play the Awakenings expansion pack before I embark on DA2.

BFBC2 - I have logged in over 100 hours of online play and am 90% done with the single player campaign. I have pre-ordered BF3!
I still have numerous games to get to.

Only 2 more game purchases this year in Madden 12 and BF3. By the time I finish all these other non-sports games (which were purchased at an average price of 9.99 with all the gamestop buy 2 used get one free specials I took advantage of) I will pick up Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Dark Souls etc at bargain bin prices.

Jeez. I remember mmmmm 10 years ago I would blow through games as I had numerous hours to play with no kids. Today? LOL I get in 7-10 hours a week tops. So my gaming time is precious and normally played late nights on Friday an Saturday.

Times have changed.

I finish most of my games. Not 100% achievements, but I will finish the singleplayer story/campaign, unless its a really bad game that drags on.

I'm getting married this year, and my job is all consuming at times. I completely relate to the time struggle, but I still always make time to beat a great game. We'll see how that changes in the next year.

I haven't finished a game in a while. I mainly finish a good number of FPS and 3rd person games (Gears of War-esque). I'll probably finish the next Gears and BF3. Besides 2k12, I'm not sure what else I will buy.

The last game I finished was... was.... oh man.

I haven't finished a game in almost 2 years. I just get into gaming funks. The only games I play somewhat regularly are sports games due to being in leagues.

Majority of the games I buy are sports games and fighting games, games you can't really beat.

Honestly, the game has to really suck me in for me to finish.

Batman Arkham Asylum did that. Gears of War 1 did that. Gears 2 I traded in and then bought again (when an electronics store was going out of business) and finished it. InFamous took forever for me to finish and InFamous 2 is collecting dust.

It really matters how the game is. A crappy game I love (like Ghostbusters) made me want finish on nostalgia alone. I loved that game and most people hated it. A game like InFamous 2 is a "if I get time to finish it" game.

Other games like Call of Duty - I never even touch the campaign. Played half of Modern Warfare 2 because I spend 99% of my time online.

Arkham City and Gears 3 are on my list to finish when they comes to the house.

Achievements have lead me to beat a ton of games this generation. Not all of them have been full 1000/1000, but I've beaten more games than I remember in the PS2/XBox days.

Listing only games with a story mode, not a fighting game unless it has a story or an arcade game for instance.

My son and I have been playing King Kong on the original XBOX (he is 7 years old and loves King Kong...it is an obession for him right now).

That game was IMO one of the best movie games ever made.

I've not finished a ton of newer games. I mostly just get bored with them after a while. Honestly, it feels like games are almost too long these days. I know people like long games, but when I have to play the same thing for 8-10 hours to get to the end, I usually get tired of the gameplay or problems that present themselves before I get close to that.
