Re: Do You Finish Your Video Games?

I am notorious for not finishing games. Here is my list of unfinished and finished:

    Unfinished
    1. Knights of the Old Republic (original Xbox)
    2. Jade Empire (original Xbox)
    3. Gun (Original Xbox)
    4. Morrowind
    5. Mass Effect
    6. Oblivion
    7. Red Dead Redemption
    8. Two Worlds 1
    9. Batman Arkum Asylum
    10. Xmen Wolverine
    11. Grand Theft auto 3 and 4
    12. Company of Heroes
    13. The Witcher
    14. Dragon Age Origin

    Finished

    1. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2
    2. Xmen Legends
    3. Skies of Arcadia

My problem is I am buying games out of habit rather than any real desire to play video games like I used to. I will continue to buy them but I may change my strategy and just buy them after they have been out for awhile rather than on the first day, it will be cheaper that way. I plan on making an effort to go back and finish all of those games I have mentioned above.

I finish almost all of my games anymore and go for full trophy acheivemnt on about half. I don't have the funds I used to so I stretch my dollar by playing my games through now before buying another bargain bin game.

I've only bought 1 (non sports game) new release in the last few years and that was Red Dead which I got the platinum for.

All my other games I usually get a year after they're out, buy them cheap and play them through. New Vegas being my most recent pick up.

Well said. Reading this thread has made me realize I finsh almost nothing. Oddly enough I did finish the Green Lantern Game this week. It was just ok but my kid (12) liked it preyty well and the coop made it fun to play together. Plus it only took around 3 to 4 hours. Besdes that I can't remember the last one. Im trying to get through Uncharted right now and just can't hardly make myself finish. It's fun in a lot of ways but it's just hard for me to put that much time in a non sports game.

I mean I think alot of us only have so much time. Assasians Creed 3, Dragon Age 1 and 2, Batman AA were all games I like but just can't sqeeze in time to finish because I'm always playing 2k hoops, NCAA or Madden or COD (i'm a sucker for zombies with the kid). IF I had no job, no family, no friends I'm sure I would play more but as it is i think that's why I at least don't finish.

Re: Do You Finish Your Video Games?

It's pathetic but I actually keep track of the games I complete. I don't try to get all the accomplishments, just try to complete the main story and all the side quests.

In the last four years the non-sports games I've completed:

          Mass Effect 2
          Mass Effect
          Red Dead Redemption
          Neverwinter Nights 2
          Fallout 3
          Alan Wake + DLC
          Assassin's Creed 2
          Assassin's Creed
          Far Cry
          Call of Duty 2
          Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty: World at War
          Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
          Ghost Recon 2
          Unchartered 2
          God of War 3
          GTA IV
          GTA III
          Bioshock
          Heavy Rain
          Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

I think that's a decent list for the past four years but it's dwarved by the games I haven't completed. You get old and you don't have as much video game time.

Hey, you keep track of the books you've finished reading, nothing pathetic about that, right?

My list over the past few years, to the best of my recollection:

            Uncharted
            Uncharted II (3x each)
GOW 1 and 2 (HD Remakes)
            MGS 1 (PSN download)
MGS 2 and 3 (on replay before my fatty died)
MGS 4 (playing through it again now)
            RE5
            Heavy Rain
            GOW 3
            Infamous
            Infamous 2
            Batman
            LA Noire
            Red Dead Redemption
            RDR: Undead Nightmares
            GTA IV
            GTA IV: DLC (both games)
            James Bond Bloodstone
            Assasin's Creed
            Assasin's Creed 2
            Assasin's Creed: Brotherhood
Call of Duty: World at War

            Mostly all series.
