I'm definitely part of the masses here...LA Noire, Brink, and Homefront in third.

Homefront had a chance to be some good multiplayer fun, but the server issues ruined it for the first month. By the time it was fixed I was done with the game.

The biggest disappointing me for me had to be Crysis 2.

Terribly buggy Multiplayer with issues that were never fixed even after numerous patches were put out by Crytek saying they had fixed the issues. A single player campaign that never felt anything like the first Crysis SP did. No DX11 from launch, and the biggest money grab DLC I have ever witnessed for a game. Releasing 20$+ of DLC to a game who's multiplayer was broken and sometimes unplayable. No thanks.

Madden 12-bought the early download, but not the retail game.

Dragon Age 2 by far. Origins is one of the best RPG games of all time, and they pretty much took away almost everything that made it so great. The storyline was weak, and I constantly forgot what was going on out of lack of interest. The only redeeming quality of that game was that it was in Ferelden, other than that it just sucked.

I took it back about a week after I got it, first time in all of my years of buying BioWare games that I was even slightly disappointed. Hopefully ME3 doesn't pull the same, but they seem to have the formula down for that series so I'm not worried.

Homefront and Ncaa 12, I'd say NBA 2k12 but once the patch fixes trade logic its all good

Right now its a toss up to me between LA Noire and Batman. I enjoyed Arkham Asylum but this time it just feels like a chore to play more than 45ish minutes of the game.

LA Noire, front loaded game to grab attraction to fizzle out fast.

Homefront was really bad. L.A. Noire was kind of a disappointment to me. It just got boring after a while and repetitive. I'd say Homefront was the worst of all the games this year though that I bought.

I agree with Homefront as well. It was WAY too overhyped and in the end, it was just a terrible FPS. Good mechanics and ideas that were poorly executed into a game.

Re: Biggest Disappointment of This Year?

For me it's been sports games in general. Although I've enjoyed every one that I've bought this year.

The Show - I didn't care for analog controls, so the game was not much different than last year. The same franchise problems are still there & #1 wishlist wish of career player cards was overlooked yet again. I enjoyed playing it, but after three weeks it just became so stale and boring to me.

NCAA - Game plays better than ever on the field, but online dynasty problems put a major damper on the game as a whole

Madden - UFA's made this game a pain, but again I loved the way it played on the field.

NBA 2K - Game-play is again really good, however I just have no desire to play. I can't entirely blame 2k for this since my appetite to play was greatly soured by the lockout. No improvements to association, shoddy trade logic, online connection problems & no sliders in online association didn't help things either.

I actually liked each game, but those were my annoyances with each of them. I can say that I was overly disappointed with any of them. However, the only other games I've purchased this year are LBP2, L.A. Noire & Arkham City and I thoroughly enjoyed each of those, so I had to choose something.

                          If we're including sports...

NCAA 12 - They had a good game that just needed some fixing. Then they broke more stuff. Then even more stuff. Waiting for a 4th patch now so it'll hopefully be right finally.

NHL 12 - I don't know how you even let this disgrace sit on shelves. Be A Pro was fine and I might rent it at some point to play more of that but 5 on 5 was the worst sports game I ever played. An insult to hockey, videogames, anyone that plays it and well pretty much anything involving hockey or gaming.

^^ Oops, I didn't see that we aren't including sports games in the OP. I know "reading is fundamental"

Taking that into consideration, I guess I have no disappointments in gaming this year.

Loved it - absolutely loved it, one of my favorite games ever - through the first two parts. Then I didn't even finish it. Still haven't and don't know if I ever will.
Totally agree with this. Loved it a first, could never be bothered going back to it and never finished it before trading it in.

I don't get the nba 2k12 disappointment a few have mention, I freaken love that game!! Each to their own though.

Dang, reading this thread has me feeling like I wasted some cash...A lot of games listed are games that I own (bought on release day) and have yet to play (Brink, Socom 4)

My vote goes to LA Noire
