The zombies are actually people taken over by plant spores. Some have some of their humanity left while others are long gone. Check out the ign preview article. It explains everything.

Zombies infected people I dunno. Naughty Dog killed Uncharted 1 with the undead thing for me. I just hope its not a major theme in the game.

I hated that about UC1 too but this is different. This game is specially about infected people.

Yeah, I mean that freaked me out and turned me off (in the sense that I enjoyed the "realism" of the story up until that point).

What made things worse was that I specifically expected something like that in UC2 just for Drake to say something cheesy like, "Oh no, not again..."

Thankfully it didn't happen exactly like that, but Uncharted always had unwanted supernatural elements. At least this time they are brought to the table immediately and I kind of know what to expect.

That turned me off about Uncharted as well, that and the nerf guns. Never played part 2 or 3.

So far this doesn't bother me in Last of Us. Didn't we kind of know this early on?

I liked that aspect in UC1. Don't have a problem with "zombies" in this one either although they aren't traditional zombies.

Not trying to be an *** to the poster but complaining about infected people/zombies in this game is like complaining there's basketball in NBA 2K.

The whole premise of the game is the infected people. Maybe he just thought it was about survival? I don't know.

I didn't know that was the premise of this game, and to be honest I still don't know what the goal is in this game besides just "survive"


I decided though some time ago that they would have zombies and no explanation of what the point of the game is that I wouldn't buy and im not.

I remember crackdown decided to add zombies into crackdown 2... it pulled the game down and it went into the bargain bin real fast...

Its like zombies are becoming the new oversaturated thing like WWII was in shooters.
