I agree I thought for sure they would include the infected in the mulitplayer. I was hoping for a dynamic where you fight other players and try to survive against them and the infected. I love the unhcarted series, but I never really cared for the mulitplayer aside from the co-op missions. I will withhold judgement until I play it, but I am less excited for the multiplayer now.

Exactly, this is what I was expecting, like in The Walking Dead television series, where two factions are against each other but they both have to survive against the infected.

This was always going to be a single player buy anyway for me. I don't care but to talk it up that much was not a good idea.

Yeah, im buying it for the SP experience too, I wasn't even thinking about MP until all these articles came out hyping it up like it's the best thing ever.

That's what I figured as well, which would have been awesome. Maybe DLC

Hopefully they are trying to make us play/complete the SP campaign before they make MP really good. They probably don't want everybody going straight to MP as soon they get the game.

Or a mode where one person starts as the infected, then spreads the infection to other players. If a player gets injured, they have a certain amount of time to heal themselves before they turn. Last survivor wins.

I like this idea.

if they add a mode or the option to just have Hand to Hand combat without weapons, ill be all over the MP.

i dont think anyone is saying that. hell, they are just now giving details about the MP. To this point its been strictly SP info. cant care about something you dont know anything about until a week before release.

Well that looked like a lot of fun.

So 20 years after the pandemic, is that why there are no infected in multiplayer? I'm assuming single player is "current day"?

Still hope there is an infected type mode or a mode where you have to survive and watch out for infected.

I'm in this for the single player experience, anyway. I thought that Uncharted MP was overrated, but I loved playing it with OS guys. I'll do MP on The Last of Us with ya'll after I finish the SP experience, and I have a feeling I'll ride that out nice and slowly. After all, I'm not even halfway through the story of Tomb Raider.
