It's a good thing I had a lot of money stored up. that stupid spore monster showed up and demolished half my city, killing all the schools(except the university luckily) about 20,000 residents, sewage plant, water pump plant, a bunch of parks, town hall, among many other things. I guess he always ends at the trash dump, as every time I've seen him that is where he ends up at.

I got Finance, Education, Utilities, and Tourism. I only have Finance and Tourism active right now though, as someone else has Education and Utilities as well.


also for this region, I have a university with the School of Engineering. I've researched a few things already, the vertical wind turbine, clean oil generator, and I'm currently researching clean coal generator. I haven't been able to upgrade it to level 3 yet so I don't have another spot for another school branch yet.

Edit: wow, just looked at my city and I have 11 million Simoleons even though I'm losing about 10K/hr. selling TVs and Computers is profitable. I just left it running in the background for a while as I did some work elsewhere.

I have Utilities and Tourism active. So if you want to save some money, Solidice, you can disable tourism if you want.

I wish I had seen this in time, as I could have loaned you the truck.

No worries, the whole mess scared me enough to get a large station of my own (I'm making processors now with that alloy and plastic and could afford it pretty easily). Good thing too, because after rebuilding the new building in the same location ended up in ANOTHER Hazmat fire!

Also unlocked my first controllable disaster, the lizard, though I think I'll fight the urge to see that rampaging through either of my cities.

My population in OSVille just exploded once I went high-tech - went from around 20k to 50kin just a few in-game months. A well-educated city really pays off in the long run.

Here's a tip. Since the lizard travels to your dump to eat the garbage, juts place him next to the dump each time it gets full. He'll just eat the garbage and disappear, since he won't have to travel to get to the dump.

my Electronics Industry is booming. I managed to max out the Trade HQ building, and close to maxing out the Electronic HQ. the HQ buildings look very nice.

Spore monster attacked again. only about 10k died this time. he took the same path and destroyed the same buildings though. lol

Springfield now has 12 mayors, meaning there are only 4 spots left, so get in while you can.

I also have a University but I was planning on going with a Law School.

I finally have my city over 100k people and have close to $1 million thanks to my alloy sales. However I am really starting to run out of area to zone residential because I am trying to save room for my ore mining and potential gambling hub! Basically, since I've been trying to build around my mines my city is starting to get chaotic.

yeah, I've been purposely keeping my population under 100K. right now I'm keeping it around 70K. Traffic is pretty good right now, and it's without any mass transit system. I'm just slowly increasing density in certain areas and letting them build up and testing to see how the traffic flows before doing any other work.
