I wonder what it means when it says "Images not representative of actual gameplay." I wonder how far off the real game actually looks.

"We know modding is hugely important to our community," Quigley noted. "We know the reason why people are still playing SimCity 4 ten years later is because the modding community has kept it alive. GlassBox is built to be moddable, but beyond that we haven't announced anything"
        - Ocean Quigley
Good news is the game is moddable. There is speculation that the game is "multiplayer only," but I do not quite buy into that idea. The site says 1-16 players. What I'm not sure of is whether you must maintain an internet connection while playing as a means of DRM.

EA's Origin site has system specs, features, and pre-order exclusives http://store.origin.com/store/ea/en_...r2_PreOrderNow

Not sure how I feel about spending $30 more for a few extra building, we will see...

ugh...I can see now that all those nice fancy building will be just for DLC...I don't like origin and it looks like it's going to be an exclusive.

The May issue of PC Gamer will have a 8 page preview, it should be in stores pretty soon. The more I keep reading about the Glass Box engine the more I am impressed with it, it will certainly add a level of realism to Sim City and the new engine alone should make your Transportation Newtowrk function. I do wonder how well the game will handle sprawling cities though.

Damn, there's no Mac compatibility. Looks like I may have to build a semi-decent PC now.

I will be getting this game as long as it holds true to prior Sim City games.

Sim City 4 is still awesome. Can't wait for this.

The first Sim City epitomized computer gaming when i was a kid. My elementary schools computer lab had this game somehow. It was an educational game i guess, so it was cool for school.

That's funny, my school didn't have computers when sim city came out. Now when SimCity2000 came Out I didn't have a pc, but my friend did. I guess he got sick of me always wanting to play sim city so he wouldn't let me play unless I did something for him. I did some really depraved stuff: I gave him $10(that's a lot for a little kid), I ate a dog biscuit, and I sold him my soul. For those wondering, I never got it back.
