According to a few people on the RDX Podcast, it seems that the review code given to reviewers is the PC version of the game and that the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will be running the game in BC mode from their Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro counterparts. There should be slight increases in frame rate and faster loading times but it's not going to fully utilize either console until next year's next gen upgrade gets released by CDPR.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Same here. I am enjoying zombies on COD: Cold War, and have barely got into Assasins Creed Valahalla, Watch Dogs, and Spider-Man Remastered. I have already beat Miles Morales. Also will have next gen updates for FIFA, and Madden. I also have NBA 2k to play also. So plenty of game to hold me off until the next Gen game comes out.My Teams:
EPL - Liverpool FC
MLB - Atlanta Braves
MLS - Charlotte FC
NBA - Charlotte Hornets
NFL - Carolina Panthers
NHL - Carolina HurricanesComment

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are on the following, and if I'm correct or not in my thinking:
I currently have a PS4 Pro and have the collector's edition ordered (I ordered it in June of 2019). With that in mind I am going to upgrade systems eventually and possibly will get both the PlayStation 5 and XBox Series X. What I'm wondering though is, without the next gen upgrade that will drop at some point next year, is there really any point in having a next gen system for Cyberpunk? I know it runs slightly smoother and if I'm understanding it correctly, the game runs at 60 fps on PS5 and XSX, and only 30 fps on current gen. To be honest, that alone is enough for me to look into a new system, even without the update.Comment

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
No, but I think it's fairly safe to say that there will be a high quality texture upgrade as well as some optimization. Both games will look great but at the end of the day PC will look the best, followed by XSX/PS5, and then XBONE/PS4.Comment

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Anyway to your initial question... Personally i'm waiting for the next gen upgrade. I want to play the best version of the game from the outset. If it's as immersive as they say it is I want that high quality next gen feel from minute one. I can avoid spoilers with the best of them and I don't think it's going to be that long before the upgrade drops anyway as I think it's probably much easier to make things better for a more powerful console than it is to make the game playable on the original PS4/Xbox1 systems."Listen son, you only have enough runs when you’re showering after a win."Comment

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Haven't been keeping up with this but looking for a new game, I have the XSX so if I want the best looking version I need to wait till next year? Was going to preorder but guess I'll wait.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
So I decided to preorder this out of familiarity with the Witcher and nothing else but the genre, but I was left with the questions "which platform" and "if PC, can my PC run it at an equal/higher level to the console". The platform choice was partially answered very quickly once I found out the next-gen updates wouldn't be happening until next year. I get that there will be an update sooner that further optimizes the PS4 game for the PS5 ala Ghost of Tsushima, but it seems pretty clear that PC was going to be the best option.
For the other part, Nvidia put out a chart listing the recommended specs for a desired PC version graphic level (the most important of which being Ray Tracing):
Basically, I fall in the area of "High" with Ray Tracing off or "Minimum" with RT on. The one sacrifice I'd have to make to pull off RT is dropping to 1080p from my monitor's native 1440p, but 1080p still looks really good on my 27'' monitor in other games. Depending on how much of an effect it has on the visuals (it'll be my first real look at Ray Tracing), I might go without it to make use of the 1440p.
Just a few more days....Comment
