    Re: Cyberpunk 2077

Glad I'm not purchasing right away or purchasing based on these early reviews. In general this doesn't seem like the type of game that you just power through in a week. Outside of technical issues these early reviewwill have a wildly different experience than someone playing at the intended pace or at least a more typical one.

Other than being made by the same team I don't think Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk are intended to be the same type of experience so those comparisons aren't really fair. The working conditions are also a thing that I personally don't think belong in any reviews.

Haven’t read any reviews since I don’t want to read any spoilers. I hope there’s a lot to do in the game since the main story is short.

        Re: Cyberpunk 2077

It sounds like the game is losing points due to bugs and glitches. Apparently it's quite bad and the reviewers are playing it without the day 1 patch that is 43 gigs which is a very large patch. People are saying they are completely overwhelmed with things to do so I dont think that will be a concern.

          Re: Cyberpunk 2077

It has a 91 aggregate score on 44 reviews for PC on Metacritic lol. Pretty good.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. Assume the role of V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you. Become a cyberpunk, an urban mercenary equipped with cybernetic enhancements and build your legend on the streets of Night City. Take the riskiest job of your life and go after a prototype implant that is the key to immortality.

43 gig day one patch? Lol, did they just ship a half finished game and put the rest of the content in a patch? 43 gigs is not just bug fixes and polishing.

The reviewer's are playing the full game so yea it seems that it is just for bugs and stability. Apparently it is quite bad even on high end PC's. I guess in that sense it's a half finished game.

That update isn't even the only one. The 43 gig update people are already able to download that are currently playing. There will also be a day 1 patch, who knows how big that will be.

Some of those reviews posted on Metacritic are giving the game high scores despite the bugs, which they know will be fixed.

Says a lot about the game to me.

                    Re: Cyberpunk 2077

I don't know, reviews praise the game but basic things like physics and density look bad in leaked videos. Vehicle physics look like worse than Saints Row. I guess those are not things that matter in RPG games.

And I see people refer to it as bugs. Not everything wrong with a game is a bug. Some things are just part of what the game is, and probably not going to be fixed. I will wait for actual extended gameplay before judging the game. But I don't expect anything even remotely close to a masterpiece.

                    We shall see.

I think it’s interesting they aren’t allowing reviewers to show anything but b roll footage and no reviews for consoles yet.

Well that's either due to the fact its unbelievably buggy. Or they want absolutely zero spoilers. I think it's the buggy thing.

No console reviews, no real footage by reviewers on PC...bad sign. All this talk about day-1 patch, I don't know. How many times in history a messed up game became great after the day-1 patch? Something to think about...

On the other hand, the day-1 patch is the size of an average full game. I think CDPR finished developing the game 5 years ago, and have been working on the day-1 patch since then...:-)

Yea I was going to say the more troubling thing then the no footage is the zero console review. 43 gigs is a lot it obviously cleans up a bit of the game so I'm going to wait and see.
