What's even more confusing is every single PS5 save I have from the time I started until now are all 12.59 MB and the game is still running.

What a mess, I feel bad for the devs, I'm so glad I decided to wait for the next gen update to purchase. I know this game will be great once the bugs are ironed out.Xbox Series X: KILLMUNGERComment

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Looks to me like this game was clearly made for PC. Those pics look amazing.
On my PS4 Pro it is a decent visual game.....nothing special at all in fact in that department.
Does not hold a candle to games like RDR2, Last of Us 2, Horizon Dawn etc.
But.....the story has me by the balls and that is what is driving me to play the game.
Overall My rating for the game is 6/10 Not bad.....not great. Rough around the edges and needs a wax job on the console to give it a shine.
I had no expectations and never read a thing about it really other than looking at some trailers.
It will be a one play through and done for me. And as I have said I am slow playing it big time while we await a few more big updates next year.
I can see why a lot of people are disappointed though. Their expectations must have been through the roof if they played The Witcher 3 to death (a game I am still playing through and only 40%-50% completed). I can say The Witcher 3 is superior game and that is not even a debate.
But it is also a totally different game.
Cyberpunk will be remembered as a huge bust unless future updates really clean it up for the consoles.
For those on PC...looks like you got a nice looking game. For us on console....we got a game that looks like it could have came out in 2014.Now Playing on PS5:

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Same for me playing on the Series X. And it is only going to get better when they release the next gen upgrade.
I can see myself playing through this game a second time, which is a rarity for me.Comment

I also made the mistake of comparing it. But they are really two different games. I notice that the second time I play it now. I'm doing a complete run through now with all the side quests. And you can tell who wrote them in every single quest.
If you ignore all the hype and expectations, it's a 10/10 game, which is also what many PC magazines have as their rating.
The game wasn't ready for last-gen, the developers at CDPR knew that too, but management pushed the sale.

The hardware you're playing on is from 2013, so of course the game won't be able to look better there than games from those years. The progress in graphics is achieved by the hardware, not the software.

While the hardware came out in 2013....look at what has been done with games like RDR2, The Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman, Horizon Dawn.
Those games are stunning.
Why couldn’t this dev team at least rival those games with Cyberpunk 2077 using the exact same hardware?
Look I am far from a graphic whore....Storylines, gameplay, depth are more important to me.
But this is simply not in those games visual galaxy. All using the same hardware.
Looks to me like not a great job was done during development. How can that happen?

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I don’t see why people can’t both praise the PC graphics and heavily criticize current gen graphics as they are far worse than any other open world or RPG game made in the last few years. Blaming current gen hardware for graphics that are far worse than their peers on the same hardware is a really bad take imo.Comment

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
On PC, no issues yet. Enjoying experience this far but I don't really see how this game is anywhere near a 10/10.
So far in story I dig the environment, but everything else in the game is really just average at best imo. It doesn't do anything amazingly well so far other than story telling. The AI isn earthshaking, the driving is horrid, damage models are from 2005 , the world while big is pretty bland when realization is that the mirage is just the amount of models on screen and not that the models do anything special and that the voice lines really have no impact they're just there with no interaction.
Dialogue so far seems to be predetermined, while you have choices , you basically cycle through every choice by the end of the conversation. Just from the opening sequence, Jackie's hands don't even move correctly to how the car is driving. Then later in sequences you can literally be shooting bullets into an enemy and there be no register whatsoever, I thought it was an aim bug or something to them come to realization that it allowed me to shoot the gun knowing there would be no register or bullet holes or anything.
My warning or advice to anyone on the fence is that it's worth it on PC and worth a playthrough but go in harnessing expectations that the gameplay is going to be an evolution to games because it's going to be a little better than what Skyrim accomplished, but provide less as far as detail than games like RDR or GTA accomplish from an open world aspect.
I think it's definitely a solid 7-7.5 overall
